Spent some money in Tesco.

Normally I would be the last person to do this as I was convinced that they were after world domination, however people are now losing their jobs, so I put my money where my mouth is.

yep... I service the 'reduction printers', for out of date stuff, and went to Bedlington store >> shuts early April.

There is a notice in the door 'apologising' for customers inconvenience.... but, fear not, a spanking brand new Morrisons opened across the road recently... Ahhhhh

Split screen VW camper (twin sliders, samba windows) towing a Mk1 Escort Mexico on a diamond encrusted a-frame?

Or a Pug 106 with a caved-in passenger door.

Had the day off work today so I drove over to Kent in the poring rain to pick up some new wheels... I'm still continuing the new years resolution towards making things shinier!

I'm a big fan of the original Dunlop composite wheels but I'm aware that the set on my car are a long way past their best and would require serious and expensive work to get the chrome to look good again... I had a set of slotmags on for a while and while they looked good I missed the contrasting black / chrome of the originals. I few years ago I saw a GTE wearing a set of TVR turbine alloys in Worthing and thought they really suited the car. I spent a few years looking before I came across a set that I could afford. They are quite rare wheels and being 15" and an attractive period design they are actually surprisingly hard to find.

The set I bought were sent off to be refurbished with spit and polish at Tonbridge, Kent they were the closest firm who could do the diamond cutting at a reasonable price! They've done a great job the gloss black powder-coating combined with the machined alloy facings is every bit as good as I'd hoped. I've even bought a set of stainless wheel nuts too to complete the job!

Tyres may have to wait until later in the month, but I'm currently looking at getting a set of Mitchellin Energysavers in 205, 65 15 as they seem to be quite well priced.

No idea, i'm not actually sure who made them originally, only that they were options on the tvr vixen / Tuscan.

They're lovely looking wheels, I do like a nice bit of retro black and silver wheelage.

Even a Lanos is a lot of car for £40, unless it looks like a Cavcraft Renault.

What did I win?

Half a decal I think. As you got it wrong. But nearest the correct.

As this is a guessing game on the internet, I shall ignore all the posts, including the nearly-correct one and will ask if it's a Triumph Dolomite 1300 in Russet Brown.
