Pay someone to wash the car? What do you think - that I'm made of money?

Anyway, I thought most of the hand car wash places were fronts for some kind of illegal activity hence it didn't matter that it was only £2 for a car wash as they were taking £10k a day selling crystal meth round the back?

I think they are generally used for money laundering, there are a couple near me that are rarely open, and only at strange times when they are, still manage to stay in business though.

Are hand Car washes much more expensive than they were last year?

I used to be able to get a quick wash and rinse but no dry for £3.00 locally but now that car wash has closed so Friday I went to Tesco's who wanted £10.00 for our Volvo V70 XC but I negotiated it down to £7.00 for a wash and dry with no wax. Today I took the V70 T5 to a different car wash for £6.00 with a compulsory dry.

How much are the car washes around you just for a basic outside wash?

I work in a bus garage. I generally just steam jenny the car every couple of weeks after dousing it with a mix of G101, Carbon Cleaner and the Ribena looking acidy stuff that takes everything off coach alloys.

Crossmichael. I'm slightly apprehensive about driving back with no heater mind...

Not even vaguely worrying. The Daily Mail ranks lower than The Beano as far as getting facts right is concerned, and think nothing of blatantly making shit up for the sake of it to generate revenue.

Dont click their links - the fucking parasites dont deserve the traffic.

The daily mail is such a sweaty bumcrack of a newspaper, there is not a single excuse for reading it. Throw it away!

The Mail Online is,worryingly, the most popular news site in the world. It's bad enough knowing my racist mother in law reads and believes every word. To think tens of millions of people every day could be infected by this shit.

I'm actually pissed off with myself for clicking on that link, now I feel dirty.

Bought another C5 V6 last night.  Nice Malaysian couple moving back home in a weeks time.  This, coupled with an ABS light, saw me have my offer of £200 (from an advertised £500) accepted.  Very happy.

It's filthy, there's a Westlife CD in the stereo and the Sat Nav thinks it's in Shrewsbury.  But for £200!!

Ordered some steel today, also, tried the bonnet on the bug - it only goes and freaking clears the engine! SWEET!

Back from Llandudno.

attachicon.gifimage.jpg

I took the BX in the end.

I used to work in Deganwy for 12 months, and drove the 2cv up the great orm for lunch each day. I lived in Llandudno too for a grand total of three days before being made redundant. How's that for timing! A colleague at work there said I'd lowered the average age of Llandudno by moving in.

Feeling sad today, sold the Capri. Took 2 days and went to first person that contacted me. Bank balance now healthy but for how long ? Next job to clear garage out of all my capri spares and bring the Anglia home to finish it.

Feel like part of the family has gone as I owned the capri for coming on 14 years. :-(

What are you after? I have some remains from a Laser I broke up, Inc an excellent tailgate. I also have lots of literature and a brand new Ford headlining in dark grey for a non sunroof model. Going to start sifting through it over next couple of weeks.

Went to a small garage in the wilds of north-western Essex this morning to look at this as a possible replacement for The Wentworth:

The upshot is that I collect it tomorrow :)

Also, this is what a Volvo 740 looks like after being driven 50 miles every day for a fortnight in winter:

Needless to say, I'm cleaning it this afternoon ;)
