EDIT:  Actually, I'm being daft with the above.  I've already done this in the real world.

Probably one of my ultimate cars from any year. It was a toss up between this and the Escort Cosworth but we all know I'm making the right choice.

*Edit: My original choices were a Mk1 Escort and Mk1 Golf. Having seen others rather more indulgent choices, I've settlen on a seventies Italian favourite.

Money pit solution would be a '75 Merak. I've still not forgiven that twat Clarkson for buggering up the red one below, which he put through some TG challenges a while back. It was sold to a specialist breaker after, stripped and the shell scrapped.

I don't think the RAGING HORN will ever go away for one of these.

Post 1986 but designed in the early 80s - what's Junkman's stance on this?

1968.

Far too much choice, my brain hurts.

If there was money to spend then my arm may be twisted to take a Buick Riviera Gran Sport.

But if there was less money then I'd still be happy with a FD Ventora or a basic little euro car or a Mk2 Cortina 1600E. So much choice. Mini Cooper 1275 S, Imp Sport, . . . . .

Not really much floats my boat from 1979 tbh but there were obvs lots of older cars still in production. I'd go for a last of the line one of these. I used to lust over this one in Linlithgow Loch car park in 1990.

I'll go for a Chevette, like my parents had when I was little.

I didn't realise we were supposed to display a bit of economic realism, so either of these would work.  I've owned an Anglia of my own, and my L plates were on the family Herald.

Er.... except either of these, in really nice condition, is probably worth about the same as the Buick.  Oh well, that's what getting old does!

Well OK it was only in Germany in 1976 so it'd be the bus for a year but it'd be worth it.

Saying that I've already got one
