WOW, that is a bargain, I bet the exporters are having a gangland shootout over it already!

One of these sexy beasts lives in my area.

If it was mine I would spend all day driving around at 25mph playing the theme tune to "Assault on Precinct 13" occasionally poking a piece of black pipe out of the window.

I can't believe that this is a 1995 vehicle, The styling looks much older than that.

Japanese Luxury cars often had long production runs. I had this Mitsubishi Debonair for a while and that X reg plate is right... it was a 1982 car despite it's looks. I think this model came out in 1964 and was sold to about 1986.

Because it was very rusty and I was up to my ears in projects. I gave it to a fellow who'd gone on about how he'd love to restore it and how cool it was. Later it turned out he'd sold it to a dulux wielding mong who ripped out the beautiful interior and smashed it to shit. Well done

But I have to say that´s not a Mk 1 Camry, the first Camry wasn´t available as an Estate, only as a Saloon and Liftback.

L

That's right, I completely forgot about the original Camry.

1196cc + 'matic box would be overwhelmingly depressing though.

And a very late model 'scrote as well. Think these late ones were meant to be pretty well screwed togther.

Ones built from circa spring 2000 until the end of production were supposedly built to Jaguar's assembly/quality inspection regime as the workers would then move onto the Jaguar X type after Halewood was refitted.

Someone fact check this better than I did: I once read that you can identify a "Jaguar" Escort by its unpainted under bonnet.

That's quite interesting as his wasn't painted under the bonnet unlike his last one, it also drive quite nice compared to other mk6 escorts i've driven. It even has an digital mileoneter.

Not as bad as you might think. Certainly wouldn't win any races but they pull away reasonably well and are ace fun to drive.

Took mine on motorways, by-passes and all kinds and was never a problem.
