Cripes. It's ads like that for the 240K that make me almost suicidal. Can there really be people out there who are so terminally stupid that they cannot, after a minimum of 11 years in full time education, string together a vaguely coherent sentence with at least a stab at spelling some of the component words correctly.

What is the point of tarting the engine bay up like that?!

Am I missing something?

They're supposed to have 11 years, but sometimes they have much less...especially if they've got undiagnosed dyslexia or summat.

Pog, I'm not having a go; my old man was an English teacher who was very good at getting such people to read and write, others weren't so lucky.

However, if ppl rite in txt spk, fk um!

My old boss was extremely intelligent. He knew everything about electronics and his spoken English was fine but his written English was dreadful. His emails and memos were legendary, he sent one to my colleague telling him to just fucking do it but he spelt it "GFDI". He wasn't stupid and I find it hard to believe he didn't stick in at school, he just couldn't do it.

You'll often find that with clever technical people - the highest proportion of autistic children come from parents who are both engineers/mathematicians, IIRC

I though that was the whole idea of eBay Motors - to allow a platform for these folks...no?

I'd be tempted to take that bet - then buy the bluebird! I love them, had a 2.0 diseasel a few years back with all the toys!

I would rather have a Gama Goat. Make of that what you will.

Thank you Mr B, you have just made my day - I live less than a mile away from that 929.

I have already had a gnosh at this, they want some fairly serious coin for a motor that's not been on the road in 16 years. Not coming to my house.

Edit....

Strange. The seller implied the reserve was quite high. Why start at £190 with a reserve of £200???

This isn't the first time that car's been on, so I suspect there may be further 'issues'

Going to see the Mazda tomorrow eve, wish me luck - hope he doesnt want too much!

That Accord went for only £137 with a year's MoT!Bluebird made less than £300 too, looks a great car - higher miles than mine and shorter T&T but better spec and more usable with the hatch, and still looked in fine fettle.Edit: Good luck with the 929! No spring cutting on it eh?Any Datsun Bluebird 411s for p411? Looks like we missed out on finding any 410s for p410.

Aha, forgot about the Bristol! House looks just right for it too.Speedy response there on the 411s Ed and Michiel :D
