That runway thing would also make a great device for 'autoshite spotters tours'. Imagine the glazed area crammed with old car pervs (with kagouls, binoculars & thermos flasks of weak lemony drinks) gently trundling round the countryside 'spotting' old rammle over fences and walls. Quality.

Why would you not just pop the lights back in? It just looks friggin rubbish like that. That would help with the sale no end.

 

There should be a daytime TV prog for people who are having difficulty selling cars, where an Autoshiter and a d list presenter like Richard Bacon make the car more appealing for the public with £10, and a roll of gaffer tape.

The cynical amongst us might think they no longer fit due to misaligned panels. That’s probably a bit unfair of me but that’s the impression it gives.Still like it though!

Yep, the passenger side one was longer to make getting into the back easier, which worked in LHD markets, but they never bothered to swap the design round for RHD. Which mean the feature was useless.. wouldn't happen these days...oh hang on...
