This car makes as much economic sense now as it did back in 1974.

You need to bring it to Suffolk, it's bloody raining here, East Angular does make Lincolnshire seem slightly normal though

Why do I get the feeling this won't be as simple as - drive to sellers gaff, hand over queens faces, burble back home!

Can't wait to see how this goes, and more pics of the LTD.

I actually do seriously hope it will be that simple.

Did you know that this thing is cheaper to insure than the Jag?

Does it have an 8 track fitted?

I don't know whether such poshery is installed in my povmobile.

It has a radio, which is unable to pick up any stations.

Mine is my cheapest car for insurance. I guess old yanks are assumed to be low risk (and not out on the roads very often!).

Two will.  Huggy's going to the Lakeland Motor Museum tomorrow morning!

I must be almost as excited as you are. My girls and I have just been reviewing the pictures and drooling over that interior, (figuratively, not literally).

Good luck on the collection.

It's a 400 mile round trip, I got insurance, half a pack of cigarettes, no gas, no sunglasses and it'll be daylight.

That's so going to be arranged, like.

Where can we create the biggest chaos?

I don't suppose your route brings you anywhere near me this morning?

Posted

There'll be huge queues everywhere you go as every man and his dog slow down to gawp at it. Hope the collection goes ok, hundreds of pictures, please!

You are off to collect a yank barge and consider that the correct breakfast ? It needs more bacon and maple syrup at least. Good luck with the collection I don't know if you are coming down the M5 but it is fucked yet again north of Bristol so expect long delays.

Isn't it traditional to break down on the way back from a pick up?

I am confused

It had an incontinent radiator when it showed up in Glossop on Tuesday.

I fear that may be relevant.

Good luck.

We noodled your water pump.

Posted

When I had it, it used to occasionally drip from the waterpump bearing area. There was a new pump in the boot when Skizzer and BV picked it up. I'd planned to change it but never got around to it...

My fault!

We have a problem.
