Junkman Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 Why is the weather so shitty despite our sterling efforts to improve The Climate?
vulgalour Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Further improvements required. I am ready to accept delivery of my Climate Improver at any point the GGG decides to inflict one upon me. Junkman, eddyramrod and Magnificent Rustbucket 3
MorrisItalSLX Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 That's a whole lotta' green. I'm green with envy! Is that interior velour or velvet? (or something else?) Ghosty, Magnificent Rustbucket and jumpingjehovahs 3
Junkman Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 I guess it's some woven nylon with a brocade pattern.
Junkman Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 Today a hedge was trimmed. So there is now a square foot less Privet in Granadaland photosyntheting valuable climate improving CO2 into that Oxygen we have in abundance.Besides, I could now even get a 70s Town Car into my front garden, but I'm not allowed to.The Junkwoman forbade me to buy a Lincoln before I'm 70, which is another 18 years, if my calculation is correct. Talk about a b'day gift. It'll be great fun to veer about with it between all this self driving shiny shit from China then. Cleon-Fonte, Magnificent Rustbucket, Brodders and 7 others 10
Junkman Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 Little does she know that I owned a '60 Continental Mark V (sic) when I was 28...Well, strictly speaking Continentals weren't Lincolns back then, but I bet she wouldn't let that count. eddyramrod and Magnificent Rustbucket 2
Magnificent Rustbucket Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Frank Cannon was 52 when he picked up the keys to his ice blue MkIV. I rest my case. eddyramrod and Junkman 2
Felly Magic Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Mrs Junkwoman needs something 1970s, V8 powered, with velour sofas for an interior, and suspension filled with blancmange to assist in Climate Improvement™ Magnificent Rustbucket, Junkman, BorniteIdentity and 1 other 4
Magnificent Rustbucket Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Why is the weather so shitty despite our sterling efforts to improve The Climate? Given that more water flows out of your exhaust than petrol pumps in, this goes a long way to explaining why the North West is having such a wet summer.
Junkman Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 I cannot be held responsible for the wetness. Not as long as everyone around me drives around in some miserable OMGMPG, newfangled, hideous PCP shit that makes them look exactly the spazzers that they are.The fucking slobber from their predestined offsprings alone accounts for more rain than my tailpipes could ever emit. DeeJay, eddyramrod, danthecapriman and 1 other 4
BorniteIdentity Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 August 8th. Top temperature of 15 degrees. Top temperature of 15 degrees. On the 8th of August. We all need to try a lot fucking harder. Shep Shepherd, Junkman, Supernaut and 6 others 9
Magnificent Rustbucket Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 I'll try revving it, but I have only got a 3.2! eddyramrod and Junkman 2
Guest Hooli Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 I do my best. I might right a bike most days but it is a 1.4 so bigger than a lot of the PCP spazmobiles out there. eddyramrod and Junkman 2
Felly Magic Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 My parents still have a coal fire, more people need to switch back to this due to the stupidly high gas prices these days, would mean t't pits would need re opening too Junkman, eddyramrod and Shep Shepherd 3
Magnificent Rustbucket Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 I'll try revving it, but I have only got a 3.2! Junkman reading this earlier: "302 - a bit small I suppose, but at least it has the right number of cylinders." Adjusts monocle. "Mein Gott! Three-point-two. That's a lawnmower engine!" Junkman, dome and eddyramrod 3
Shep Shepherd Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 My parents still have a coal fire, more people need to switch back to this due to the stupidly high gas prices these days, would mean t't pits would need re opening too I reckon that like it or not, deep coal mining will have to restart in some form or other in the future. No idea where the new mines would go, however, as most of the sites of the old ones are now retail parks or country parks. Junkman 1
Guest Hooli Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 I reckon that like it or not, deep coal mining will have to restart in some form or other in the future. No idea where the new mines would go, however, as most of the sites of the old ones are now retail parks or country parks. We could put them underground... Junkman, DeeJay, spike60 and 2 others 5
Cleon-Fonte Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Sounds like a great excuse to demolish some soulless retail parks to me. Shep Shepherd, Junkman, eddyramrod and 1 other 4

somewhatfoolish Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Coals fine, but the ash melts your dustbin now.It does if, as in the case of my old dear, you put it into the bin before it's fully cold; then in the middle of the night it sets fire to the bin(and thence the 4 assorted recycling bins next to it), putting an enormous sooty skidmark of Beelzebub up the side of the house, fortunately not spreading to the house, and leaving a devil's spaff of melted bin, wine bottles and tin cans over the yard.
