One or the other of these two, Diesel for work and Petrol for the weekend.... or MrsDs Yaris behind them when I need to park in Waitrose's stupidly smol parking spaces

That would guarantee me a mis-fuel at some point.....

It's shite because I mostly use it as a car. But when I use it as a van it is shite too because it has a petrol engine (1.8 Zetec). Unlike most vehicles I've bought, this one has never given me buyers remorse. Nothing at all has gone wrong in nearly 4 years.

My 23 year old Pajero.

Not proper shite by the book really.

I like it though.

^ the maroon one has a familiar reg - I reckon it might have been a pool car at a place I worked in Bristol in '97 (I had a Xantia P934RFB which was a proper Friday car)

8 miles, 10 miles...... I could probably get the Cadillac into double figures mpg-wise if had those distances to cover!  Home to work?  4.1...

4.1 miles!  Even I couldn't justify 4.1mpg!

The Mrs' daily as i can't drive, bought for £500 last year with 97k on, now sitting at 121k, only had 1 ftp due to a coolant leak, and needed a rear wheel bearing and a couple of tyres, passed MOT with a couple of minor advisories in March, AC is temperamental now, might need a regas, but everything else works fine, lost a wheel trim a while back, but meh. 1.8 petrol, not too bad on jungle juice, and will manage just shy of 130 flat out. Nicely spec'd for the base model, leccy windows all round and leccy mirrors, tbh, it's been a pretty cheap car over all, people slag these off, but I like them tbh, FiL has an 05 plate example in black that has cruise, but does without rear leccy windows. Came with full John Grose Ford service history as well, and in the glovebox was a full paint touch up kit, yeah it has a few age related marks, but for what I paid, I'm very happy. It replaced a rare Focus Ghia 1.8i saloon that was written off, that was also a minter pre accident.

I remember when my mum was shopping for a new car to replace her Felicia, she looked at Fusions, and the salesman at the Ford dealer said that Fusions are basically a jacked up Fiesta, and are generally piss poor, she ended up with an ex Ford press fleet Fiesta Finesse, which was replaced at 4 years old by a late model Mk6 ex Jersey hire car Style Climate+ Fiesta that was a few months old for about £2,500 less than retail, and got a decent px for her old Fiesta, she loves em, and still has the 58 plater now, to say it's the base model, it has a fair few toys as standard, remote locks, heated front screen, leccy windows & mirrors and A/C. Will probably buy it off her when the time comes to replace the Mondeo

I can't believe there are 96,000 Fusions still out there, and they were sold as late as 2012 when they were hideously out of date! (Much longer than the Fiesta it is based on).

I don't know what an MGC is.

It's a 2.8 exceed as far as I know.

Ah, the car behind it!

Again, no idea. Not mine I just parked next to it.

Bought this in 2006 as a quick flip still got it... used in all weathers.

Just coming up to a year of owning it, after having put more miles on it in the last year than it had done in the previous 5 years.

Smallest engine available, but top spec in terms of equipment. I don't know who would have ordered that when it was new, but I am thankful someone did, as I can enjoy all of the best toys you could get in this (and no, I am not yet bored of the electric blind), but still have insurance that is cheaper than a bottom of the range Focus.

my daily, bought 2+years ago off a very pessimistic deep sea fisherman...

mostly reliable, but moderately rusty; had a new windscreen fitted last week; afterwards the dash had a thick coating of rust dust... also has a habit of busting rear axle oil seals (breather is clear!!) n drowning the rear disc brakes in gearoil/bearing grease cocktail (messy) - probably down to towing heavy trailors, A framing heavy fugged vehicles home...

I threw out the o/e seats, as they were hugely uncomfortable, n the fabric resembled a tramps underpants, n fitted a pair of 'Raceland' recaro copies... very comfortable now on long trips...

has 156k miles n returns 35mpg (ish)...

My usual daily is a BMW 530d estate, bought 2 years ago with a genaded gearbox and 233k miles. Went over 255k in Germany last week when we went to the 24h race at the Nurburgring and on return was immmediately borrowed for unknown duration by an ex moving house etc...

Daily duties will now be shared by a 2.8 Z3 and a 1989 300SE Merc until it returns or I buy old Merc estate.

Current daily is a 1975 Triumph Dolomite Sprint.  About to start alternating with 1983 Rover 2600.
