The field of dreams is available if all else fails and we do have temporary road mats now to get you into the camping paddock.

I've been having cheeky thoughts about buying a cheapy just to take to shitefest and ROFFLING it off afterwards to get a train ticket home

Can you cancel your votes if the lack of car camping is a challenge?

That way we get a true picture of attendees.

Currently 30 odd people are up for the first date, which means it may be worth running.

As Mcoli said we can do more than one.

There were toilets there? I just walked down to the river for a wee...

Thats what i done! I'm not sure what you did if you needed a mud out though!

There was a proper toilet opposite the museum entrance. I only found out in the morning.

Oh yes there was wasn't there! In that case i definitely wouldn't mind going back there again then.

"Hi, can we come back to your camping field? We were the ones who went to the toilet everywhere except the actual toilet"

Posted

nope - you did it once - you need to enjoy weekend bring an estate :D

The weekend in the bus was thoroughly enjoyable. Decisions will be made nearer the time.

I'd love to find the narrow road up the steep hill with drops either side and the forest too. Was near that big bridge and castle

You've just described most of Wales.

I need to make a decision today about this.

Option 1 is

We have 31 people saying they would come to the first date which seems a decent number.

I would suggest that is sufficient to go ahead. I know it doesn't suit everyone's needs but that is a challenge to do.

Option 2 is

Go to a field somewhere and do it. Less compromises and more shiteyness.

I am erring on option 2 as I think wales or similar will be more up most peoples street.

Anyone got anything to add before I take the decision?

But there was only one big stone bridge near a castle where I fixed my cars leak.

I'm fine with the date, it just needs a less strict location. Electric I'm sure we don't need, but fire we do, and maybe a tyre swing.

If we go back to llangollen, what vehicles didn't we get started last time?

Is there a memorial plaque to help us find it again?

If I miss a Shitefest in Llangollen, I'll be even more disappointed! I would like to say though, we have been very lucky weatherwise with Welsh Shitefests. Can third time also be lucky?

That's the road, then into a forest someone said was used as a rally stage. Must go back to Wales and find it.

In fairness if Llangollen can entertain us then we'll probably be allowed to do different dates, i.e weekend of 10-11th June if it's easier for some people? Just a thought.

Don't think I've got my lad that weekend either.

10rh and 11th would be ace as Amy won't have work! Plus it's not evas birthday weekend.

Ill sit back and wait for the people with social calendars to fight it out though

Llangollen sounds good.  Don't mind when - any time's good when shiters are about!

I think you're meaning the dam at Lake Vyrnwy, and the road follows Cwm Hirnant on this link:

Llangollen was good so I'd be up for that again, and the distance may even let me bring a number of vehicles - it's only about 40 miles away. But would prefer a greater distance for a road trip!

I can't do the weekend of the tenth, got a wedding on the saturday but if it suits the majority better, then so be it.
