Thanks for that. Where is this archetype of automotive awesome located?

EDIT: Doh, Burnley ish. My missus' last heap came from near there. If I won this, I would give it to Mrs BV.

Yep. Little village at the foot of Pendle hill. No witches here though....hang on love, I'm just talking to those nice people on that strange website again

Did I give you the folder of history with this?

You're right, it's had a new roof - at a SAAB dealer! Muchos expense. I think they'd had trouble with the old one sealing, there were a few receipts for adjustments and stuff and then about £1200 worth of hood fitted.

There was close on £8000 worth of receipts when I totted up, and I think that registration is the original one too.

The only thing it really needed was a desludge which you did, so this is a bloody good motor.

Yep, it's in the office somewhere. I was pretty sure it had the roof done...it certainly seems in bloody good nick for a 15yr old one anyway!

You tried your best. That's what matters. Everyone loves a trier. Come back tomorrow and try again.

Bugger, I recently paid good money for one that is probably not as good as this. Tis currently hiding in a barn awaiting spring.

1 random please, the wife can't moan if I win it rather than buy outright.

That's the spirit! ;-)

Mine absolutely can and probably will moan. As a consolation prize if I win I'll take my miserable megane cabrio to the nearest scrapyard and film it getting crushed just for her.

I thought this would sell out in minutes, they are cracking cars and very easy to live with.
