Well, that was unexpected.

We have arrived in Plymouth. I grew up here, spending over two decades here before moving with MrsH down to Kernow.

Sometimes I miss it, my friends and family still live in the area and visits to/from them are sporadic.

I did a double-take at first because my 9000 was a black L-plated 2.0 in CSE spec, but then I noted the inclusion of an angry-snail and those AMAZING leather seats and realised it was another black 9000.

Incredibly jealous.

fatharris - as I've said before, if being a train-wanker fails and you end up collekshuning late or if you basically end up stranded up this end of the country and CBA to get back, you know that there's a spare bed* here. We should be back around 10pm - hopefully by then everything will have gone smoothly and you'll be approximately 3% of the way back home!

You're a diamond, cheers! Hopefully everything is smooth, the seller has been excellent so far, even recommended I get off a few stations earlier for a lift, which saved me £30 in train fees!

First meal of the day is croissants because I can't chew, tea and beer, because I have hours until I get there.

Doombar isn't the same since Sharp's got bought out by Molson Coors and it started getting produced in Burton-on-Trent. At least the cask stuff is still made in Rock.

You want a good Cornish ale, go hunt down some Betty Stogs!

p.s. Excellent motor selection there sir!

I've done the Skinner's brewery tour many times, and never actually got round to the brewery tour bit, just straight to the bar for the free pints :D

Good effort! Those wheels are worth a fair bit on their own. I've had a couple of 9000 Aeros, one of my favourite cars. www.uksaabs.co.uk used to be a pretty good resource.

At this rate there will be more Saabs than XMs on here. Friends of mine are collectioning their third Saab today. Must be reaction to Trump victory or summat.

Nice easy clean alloys - I do hate the fiddly ones.

I should clarify, the car won't be staying long, I've promised MrsH. It'll stay for the winter whilst I use it instead of Herman and it'll eventually be sold on, probably with a fresh ticket. Shame, but I am a man of my word.

And no way are you selling that after the winter. It looks far too compelling to punt. Youre gonna get to look at that every time you come out of the house! Well played indeed.

Been on this train for 4 hours and the phone still isn't fully charged.

Sod it, it'll do.

That looks seriously nice! No way will you want to sell it

I think there's a chance Mrs Harris will be keeping it once she sees it and has a drive.

I never really understood what CSE meant compared to CS. I have studied my brochures, but to no avail.

I had one, K909EYO, or Eeyore the donkey to friends.

2.0 n/a automatic, so very, very slow and thirsty, but a CSE nonetheless. So full wood dashboard, but a/c rather than climate.

Had the original Saab hi-fi with separate cassette tuner and single disc CD, though.

Loved that car. Last taxed June 2011. :(

My dad had a CS, a 2.0 ecopower automatic. I always remember him saying it did 12mpg around town. K336MGN isn't showing on the database so I'm assuming it's long gone sadly.

The one I'm picking up is an Ecopower, but a manual CSE, so hopefully a bit more frugal!

Anyway, goodbye London. Still not sure how I feel about you as a city.

I was a bit disappoint about how clear and non-sideways the pictures are, but the last one's more like it.

Barely visible munny shot of probably a car in a dark pez station next pls.

That looks like a decent, honest car which will respond very well to a bit of TLC. I bet that you'll enjoy the drive home  8)
