What exactly would be the Godzilla of Autoshite...a Robin Reliant Reliant Robin₁ in Postal mode, or some unpronounceable Russian car being pulled by a horse?₂

 

1 Couldn't get a picture...the thinly-disguised 3-wheel motorcycle-cum-econobox. A "land transportation device, car (barely)" to quote Chenhall. Reviews For A Dollar states that the Robin is propelled into the Very Very Cheap class by its 39 hp engine, indifferent handling, and a certain lack of control when a tire goes out at high speed. If "One Pound Fish, Very, Very Good" is made into a feature film...this would be a star car.

I rewired my last comment after a failure of syntax regarding Reliants. I've never actually seen one so they are an exotic car to me - so I had to look them up somewhere.

 

Definition of "godzilla of autoshite". A car of unequalled low estate. A car would be worth $90 if you put $100 in the glove box.

The Godzillas of Autoshite are the first generation Citroen Picasso, Chrysler PT Cruiser and a late 90s Ford Escort with a CVT gearbox.  Like Godzilla, they are feared and yet also ridiculed and offered a sort of cult respect.

For U.S. autoshite you'd be near the bottom of the barrel with these combos

A fascinating fact is that the bottom 3 are spin-offs of the top 3. The Plymouth Horizon was begat by the Simca Horizon and begat the Talbot Horizon and even an AMC version, + there was a Volkswagen-engined Horizon for a while.

 

If you could combine 1970s car, fake wood, vinyl tops, out-of-business car company(Pontiac, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Saturn, Hummer, Plymouth, AMC, Edsel), slushbox transmissions, you might have the worst American car. Compared to the U.K, Americans have a poor selection of autoshite. You seem to have a galaxy of choices that you just could not get here. What would Americans do with a Fiat Punto or a Citroen Picasso? There are some cars seen here that people send us from other countries that are pretty grim

I have a skoda favorit hatch with terminal rust issues which I still intend to make less terminal. Doesn't run very well, carb issues. Very faded red.

Also a skoda favorit estate that I've been rebuilding on and off for years, which does run, and isn't rusty. It's a mix of green, with red and black replacement panels on.

And a skoda favorit pickup, which is both very rusty and doesn't run as the engine is cooked. It's also painted Matt green and was in 3 episodes of corrie in the 90s.

 

If we're not playing the triples, I'd like to enter...
