That must have made quite a dent in the cabin's profits....

I doubt it - the amount they sold on a typical day was staggering.

The Pier ’ead in Liverpool often has a good selection of ice cream vans. Here’s one I snapped recently.

And this one is far away. Looks like the summer time rush is on.

Spotted just this week in Pembrokeshire; despite extensive* research, I haven't found any photos of a CF with a 3-piece windscreen arrangement.

Here's another one, equally dilapidated - I clicked on the pictures link - no info! And here's their daddy -

Whilst looking for these three windowed horror's I noticed that the front windscreen has been put on upside down on some models, once seen never forgotten ...

Both M reg. Come to think of it, are they entirely different screens?

Thought so thanks, I'm not going completely mad. But one of 'em still looks upside down.

Can't see the issue whatsoever.

I think it's the/a/any off the shelf  std raked screen just  pretty much put in vertically. It does look gopping and utterly wrong.

I certainly don't remember the rear half of uncle Sam looking like a Honda Acty, but that's just me

Looks more like a Hijet than an Acty, but it could be a Mk 2

Due to the low roof I think the vendor worked from the outside and reached in to get the ices from the freezers.

Mid 1970s, my cousin had a summer job driving this van. The freezer was plugged in overnight so by the end of the day any remaining icecream would be going soft.

We used to get free icecream, the two people were our neighbours who benefited from this arrangement, and my sister's pony who developed a taste for ice-lollys
