Yeah am a bit pissed its the wrong side of payday else would of thrown all that and the family holiday fund at it and dealt with the fallout later.

My man 💪

(I've done stuff like that in the past and the fallout is amazing. It's a miracle I'm still wed 🤣)

You're a braver man than I sir. Three bags??? I think 50p would be my top offer! Now a nice convertible Jag on the other hand...

I would happily have paid 3k for that, it is beautiful.

Mine isn't a convertible but it is available significantly under that budget... ;)

Unfortunately, my budget at the moment would be in the 50p bracket. I did look on ebay and found a few to drool over. No cash, no space and it would cause considerable amounts of grief at home. One can dream though.

This has come to my mind this morning upon hearing they are remaking Lovejoy. Didn’t he have a white Bedford KB?

I think it was a Datsun/Nissan

Not sure how I feel about a remake of Lovejoy

Yup, 1983 Datsun 1800 Pickup.

1984 Datsun Pickup 1800 [720]

Appeared in Lovejoy from Series 4 on; the show had it that his Morris Minor convertible was seized by the Inland Revenue, and the Datsun was its replacement.

A697GDB was last taxed in 2001, so probably long gone.

Why do they need to remake anything? Why not make up new stuff? How hard can it be?Or just watch the old programmes over and over again, like I do with Heartbeat!

I'm restoring one right now..been at the garage 10 years mind you - F438 XHF. Finished in Isuzu Cavalier Blue. Done 143,000 miles. First owned by a joiner in Liverpool (alongside F439 XHF - saw that one in the 90s at Lookers GBE Chester). When we bought it at the end of 1989 / start of 1990 it had a Motorola mobile phone kit installed and a weird car alarm that sounded the horn and switched on the lights. You set it by turning on the light switch column stalk before exiting the vehicle. This one has been in a ditch in 1991 which bent the roof, then it got written off at a crossroads in 1994. In 2001, 6 years after restoration it was ran into a parked car, slightly bending one corner. Between those years a lorry smashed off the front bumper when exiting a driveway. I do still have the original backbody but not bothering restoring it at the moment. It started right up in 2016 after 14 years of not being started.

We have owned in the past: B139 RRE, B575 OFA, C32 GCA, E820 GVT, E459 MRE, E776 WRJ to name a few!
