Bought sight unseen, the first time I set eyes on it will be when I collect it!

I need to also go find out where it is currently residing.

WPCGW?

Came back to find this on my desk. Keyfobs covered for you all to keep guessing. :)

This is the best way to buy a car!

What?

Like any normal person can be expected to recognise a car by looking at the key?

Phooey.

You think there are normal people on this forum?

Pre 2000 release but post 2000 makes me think Volvo S80 for some reason.

Close! But not quite.

Same thoughts here, they look a bit like our old 9N Polo's keys. But not too similar, and what VAG products are popular here?

Next clue: It's European and has a turbo

Had a quick peek at it. It's a bit shabby inside, but then it has done 210k miles.

Keyfob doesn't work. Interesting mod inside the fob to make a smaller battery fit.

Mid-2000s Saab 9-3 or 9-5, going by the key and the design of the handbook wallet. I hope it's a 9-5 :)

Lump of tissue / card is a well known way of keeping the battery in contact with the circuit board...ala GM !!  9-5 Saab I guess

Collection start!

First thing, go down to the garage and collect my trusty steed that reliably* gets me in everyday.

post-20071-0-44576300-1474387750_thumb.jpg

This thing gets me in to work in around 15-20 minutes. Bus takes 30-45 minutes. Car 45-1hr. No brainer really.

The money saved makes me feel less guilty buying cars!

Also, if the car FTP me on the way back, it provides a practical, alternative way of getting home. :D

This won't be a very long one. I can literally see it out of the office buildings window...
