I'm actually the seller, it's no longer at my house.

I read the title as 'I'm actually living at the seller's house' to which end I assumed you had sold yourself a car.  Even for you, that would be quite something.

In the event that this did happen, I hope you got a bargain whilst simultaneously holding out for the best price possible and robbing yourself blind.

If CC stitched himself up, he would have to go back to his own house and demand his money back, possibly even threatening to break his own kneecaps.

He won't get very far with the warranty that Cavcraft provides....

Taking myself to court could be interesting.

Would you represent yourself?

The EML light will be a stretched timing chain, no matter how much you try to convince yourself it's the crank sensor, GUARANTEED. Quite nice cars though.

Sorry but an 05 is too modern for this forum.

We live in interesting times. There's currently a thread up about how much people love those nasty bulbous sticky Citroen bastard carriers as well. This place is changing, and not for the better.

(although a scuffed Almera that probably cost 45p and half a 200 ml carton of Um Bongo is probably shite enough tbh)

.

No, but if I lose I'm going to sleep with his wife.

But what if he loses and sleeps with yours?

You might need to divorce yourself on the grounds of adultery in that your wife cheated on you with yourself. You'll be paying yourself maintenance for many many years. Breadvan72 would represent you though

I wouldn't show up, mate. Then you would automatically win.

Good cars though, apart from front subframe rot, and 100% giffer looks.

Sell it to felly magic

What price would you be shotting this out fae? Will see if Ma is interested.

Also, those wheel trims need taking off, smashing to pieces and chucked into the nearest skip.

As it stands (needs at least one tyre, EML on, cracked bumper) just two hundred and five of your earth pounds can drive it away. With a couple of part worns fitted and the EML readily ignored then probably £250.

Right, FCR says 'neutral position switch' and the EML has gone out now, but will come back on I suppose. The gearstick is a bit floppy (bushes I would guess) BUT..there's a spare second hand one in the boot. Car actually seems to drive ok as it is, so if anyone did buy it I'm pretty sure you could use it for a while 'as is'.

That doesn't look that horrible, bland and forgettable yes, but horrible no. Cavcraft you are losing your touch.

My sister bought one of these. 05 plate, too, in green. Seller was in Bedford.

I drove it all the way home without realising the gearbox was fucked. Gearstick would move under acceleration. But it wouldn't jump out of gear. It would just....move. Like 7cm.

I was much embarrassed at the hassle I caused her and my dad trying to get the seller to admit he'd sold a dud car and take it back, which they did eventually do.

I made up for it by finding a leggy Focus 1.6 at a much more local car place which she has now had for over two years, has whacked around 30k on while playing cambelt roulette and has been pretty damn reliable up to the last MOT, when it went THRRRRPPPTTTTFFFTT. It was all fixed and will likely be for sale here at a massive loss* soon.

I remember my uncle coming over to visit us many moons ago, and he had one of the previous generation models as a hire car. I thought it was quite nice.

Someone twatted him up the rear (ohh er missus) on the way back to the airport.

I might have a slightly less fucked gear knob for one of these kicking around my unit if anyone wants one

Eddie, a history teaching friend of mine from Uddingston, had one of these.

He referred to it as 'the big car'.

"I'm in the big car today"

"We're taking the big car on holiday"

"The wife's not keen on driving the big car"

Their other car was a micra.

I was always amused.

WonkyTim loves these, he'll be along shortly with some timing chain facts

I smiled.
