rantingYoof Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Two randoms. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Vince70 Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 I'm a bit lazy when it comes to organising a raffle I'm afraid..The only reason it's going really is the mileage as I will be doing a good 500 miles a week just for the commute but it's been getting used as a station car and just trips into town for which it is really well suited and for those journeys the LHD isn't an issue especially as it's so Dinky. I did drive it down the Motorway once as I bought it about 200 miles away and to be honest it wasn't that bad sitting at 70 and doesn't Rev that high in 6th gear but you do feel vulnerable to HGVs when your on a motorway and it doesn't help being LHD but the little 3 pot engine note is quite addictive and I think it's a pulse model which is supposed to be slightly sporty model so it's like a poor mans brabus version lol. I've been told on the smart club that it looks like it's the oldest one in the UK as it was registered in July 98 and started its days in Madrid then was sold through the smart network in 2000 over here. It had the registration of REG1 for awhile it's a shame it still doesn't have that reg as I think it would of been worth a few bob more. I do wonder on the original owners sanity though of ordering a smart car with a glass roof and no air conditioning while living in Madrid. trigger 1
Jazoli Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 I'm sure someone would organise it for you, and send the money PayPal to paypal, I would but I'm in the field all day,
purplebargeken Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 It is virtually sold already. Roffles are easy and stress free (unless you win). Dave_Q 1
trigger Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Here it is back in it REG days. Cleon-Fonte, DVee8, loserone and 3 others 6
Vince70 Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 You can still make out the faded outline of the stickers on the old girl..I did try and get in touch with them via email for some history on the car but I never got a reply
Jazoli Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 so is this going to be roffled or what? it would be very rude not to and would go a long way to fixing the forum ying/yang, there's not been as much interest in a roffle since the Vel Satis non roffle and that was a complete anti-climax too dome 1
83C Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 If there's a spare number or two then I'll take a pair of randoms.
rantingYoof Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 The cheapest quote I've got on this vehicle insurance-wise is £450pa so there's some motivation for getting a roffle sorted*.
gadgetgricey Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Five tickets left @ £9 a ticket, £486 raised so far. We might actually be a little closer: cant see that you have included: I'd actually have some numbers despite having had years of therapy as a result of owning a demon possessed one of these a few years ago. Brilliant idea and it is yellow. I need a yellow car in my world. Roll up , Roll up for the non raffle Seriously though if this does raffle I'm good for the money for my two tickets, but might not be near a computer, be able to get connected for the next seven days. Hopefully when I get back online, I've just got to pay £18 and not got to explain to the wife re the Yellow Peril on the driveway Cheers
loserone Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 I absolutely don't need this, so stick me down for number 13 please
Cavcraft Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 If anyone decides they don't want their's, I'll buy one or two!
nacho man Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Ace good one tayne. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mrbenn Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 As said, proper early model, I can't see the values of these going any way but up. Even seen a couple at car shows recently. £500 is a serious bargain. For the price of a raffle ticket, even if you razzed it around for a couple of days then gave it away you'd still be ahead!
rantingYoof Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 If anyone decides they don't want their's, I'll buy one or two! Cavcraft can have mine if he likes. I don't think paying that much on inshurance is feasible, after careful thought, and I don't want to cause the seller hassle as it seems like they want a quick sale. Also I think something unimportant broke last week, like the boiler. I don't know, Mrs Yoof seems unhappy with the lack of hot water and a £500 Smart car, while awesome, may not deliver that. If Cavcraft or nobody else wants them, I'll still pay the £18 of course . [/spineless]
Cavcraft Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Go on then ace, I'll have some of that. Message me with your Paypal details or something please, whoever wants paying, cheers.
Vince70 Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 I'm so sorry guys but a certain long term Autoshiter wants the car and I can see a decent Colleckshun Fred coming this way soon.I will give you just one clue and that is he likes yellow cars and I know it will be looked after with no expense spared. Brodders, loserone, trigger and 1 other 4
fatharris Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Thank god, MrsHarris would not have tolerated my actions! Fingers crossed for the new lucky owner! Vince70 1
Kiltox Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Gutted there's no raffle but very pleased it's staying in AS trigger and Vince70 2
purplebargeken Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Gutted also about no roffle but cunty fuck shit that I have been out all day and the roffle was then fuller than a full thing upon my return. Yellow is a healthy colour. For cars anyway, not humans particularly. Vince70 1
Faker Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 NOOOOOOO!!! Ah good job. Glad to see it's staying with us.
crapcarcollector Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Richardk by any chance? Thank god I'm off the hook. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
