Good luck Dicky, that's not the nicest part of Colchester!

Now in Wickford....I'm guessing it'll be a bit of a heap

It doesn't sound promising, strange that It's now in Wickford, stranger still that It's the same car your interested it!

Can't say I'm surprised, I bet it's been said in that driveway for years and it's a right rough old street as well.

Yeah, the bloke was selling it for a friend, same old story. He had double booked the viewing so we were viewing it with this other bloke. I was looking under the car (chassis legs rotton, spring hangers rotton, boot floor rotton, inner wings rotton, floors rotton) while the other tosser just stood there and bragged about how the DVLA don't check number plate donor cars anymore to see if they're legit so it would be easy to get a bent MOT to flog that number (gotta be worth a few quid mate innit) It would have needed a hell of a restoration, but there were a couple of photos taken not much more than 10 years ago, showing it in virtually immaculate condition. It would appear the owner bought it 10 years ago, stuck it in his drive and it's been rotting ever since. I think this should be in the grumpy thread

Just found more Basingstoke tat in Brighton Hill, I forgot about that place.

A CPTC.

I have a vague recollection of seeing this parked on the road in 1978/79 but it's been there ever since. During the classic car boom of the 80s it got a "not for sale" sign and the tarp appeared in the 1990s. It was covered in logs for a while but I see they've gone.

It's been there far too long to be a project or an investment and it doesn't really fit in with the rest of the house. I'd love to know what the story is.

Talking of towns of tat, Welcome to Clacton in Essex.

I saw this Civic last year and have amazingly found it again, It was being driven by a old boy with a dog and the car was a right shitter, Dog eaten interior, rusty with old doors, Proper shite!.

Whats the betting this 02 was cheaper and in better nick than mine seeing that it was local (unlike mine which was 250 miles away!)

Spotted on my travels in Moston. This chap must like his 300 Laurels, he had a saloon and an estate, with what looks like another on the drive:

There is a garage and motor museum on the way to Dalby Forest.

Inside the museum behind the showroom, there are several cars rammed so close together fat people will probably not be able to go in. Was there last week, but had just finished a 23 mile MTB ride in the pissing rain and had not brought my camera with me as it would have perished in that weather.

My mate and me had a good snoop round outside too. There are loads of sheds full of cools stuff hidden away. Loads of MGBs, a couple of heralds, some jags, a roller and several tarp challenges. Loads more but i cant remember it all.

You can see several of the cars at the brow of the hill on this photo below. There was an X19 languishing under some undergrowth when i was there last week. Looked in very good nick all things considered.

Was chatting to the guys who own it and apparently they have 2 other barns full of old cars.

From memory, all the cars out the back that are on these photos are not there now so i assume they have a pretty high turnaround. There was a lovely ford prefect on the ramps getting some new sills which is now probably on sale.

Several peeps have probably been there before. The reason i know of it is from the Imp club national weekend a couple of years ago when I followed Aled there in my Xsara. Did not know it was Aled until he came on this forum and I recognised his car, and until now he probably did not know it was me following.......

I used to drive past that just about every week when I lived over that way. Always had some interesting stuff.

Dave, your pink/red spackwagen thing is a THiNK. They were a Scandanavian electric car producer who were bought out by Ford. There was also a programme on BBC2 ages ago when those two design twats had a go at redesigning the bodywork, only to be told they couldn't change the shape because the hard points had gone through crash testing.

My 998cc Micra will have a towbar this time tomorrow so long as the rain holds off - took the back bumper off and then the heavens opened up and I got wetter than a haddocks bathing suit.http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 6,,0,18.06Frogmen - well funny

Those two crazy Dutch dudes just made me crack up!

Hey, don't blame us! I think they're Norwegian. The Dutch don't have that sense of humour (or any other sense of humour).
