You've got the disease bad. I prescribe 4 hours of welding, 1 session of changing the void bushes on a cortina and a 8 valve stem oil seals.

So sayeth the Church of Chod.  Here endeth the lesson.

Saw the picture of the Mini and went 'WTF' only to scroll down and see WTF.

I must buy 10 recovery trucks so I can store some more cars!

recovery trucks are great for that

Senator collection confirmed for Thursday evening.

Mini collection was postponed tonight - definitely non running so I will have to break out the truck to pull it home. Hopefully will get the wiring sorted tomorrow and have it running so I can get the Mini home early afternoon.

It's a lowly 2.5 Trig, so 12v. That's very much part of the appeal though!

It's had a boot lid change.........

ian dont encourage him - dont tell him to make it faster :D

OK - I won't

My favourite Senator was a 2.5 12V - OK it wasn't as quick as any of the 10 24V's I've had but they are a sweet engine and they rev so nicely

Once again I've stolen Mrs JohnK's motah - she knows about this one though..

That does look rather nice, how is the interior? Please say it's velour.

Great, moody collection pic. It may be 26 years old, but nothing else shouts " YOUR NICKED" Louder than a white senator.

Oh yes very cool, this I like.

More pics when you get a chance please mate.

She's back. More pics tomorrow when it's light :)

She drives ace and was accurately described by the eBay seller who was a self confessed Vauxhall nut. He's replaced this as his daily with a MK3 Cavalier 1.4L but also has a MK2 estate and a MK1 sportshatch. I directed him towards this site as Theres a great story behind his cars.

Exhaust is banging against something which desperately needs to be resolved as it annoyed the shit out of me on the way back and the brakes seem a bit spongy with plenty of pedal travel. Won't take much to get her sorted though!

Looks great. I take it it's not ex-plod being a 2.5 even though it's white?

Is this car black ops or on the books as far as mrsjohnk is concerned?

If you feel the need to move that little Rover on..........  :-D

No roffles as yet - I quite like her so she's staying for now.

She's more ex-giffer than ex-plod. Mrs JohnK approves* of this beast as she is fully aware it is only a temporary* arrangement. It will move it to the secret car bunker in due course once I'm back in the dog house.

Mine was very nice but had a few faults - I bought it stolen recovered - it need a strut, wing and bumper.

Sadly the controls for the heating were fooked - it only blew hot air - great in July.

Glovebox lid and centre console lid snapped off - the prices at the time from vauxhall were horrific (1995).

90mph equated to 3000rpm - a fabulous cruiser. However traffic light GP's were pointless - 140 hp and an autobox in a big car are a bit of a handicap.

E381 EOS - long gone.

Yeah she's not what I would call quick - she's similar to my 728i's - Lots of lovely straight 6 noise but not enough go behind all the noise she makes!

Still chuffed with her though, she cruises very well.

There's a few grot spots and bodges which I will photograph at a later point to share. There's a distinct possibility this will be off to London with me tonight, if I can get this bloody exhaust sorted!

Dribbling is occurring. Top buyage.
