I would have though the nearby town of Stirling would have been better.

No wonder i couldn't find the place on Google maps when i looked! Doh!

Don't say that man! Is it normal for the man in the watermark to be flicking the birdie?

Don't worry i can confirm with my expert eye they are all genuine  :-D Glad its sold.

Which why I've just enquired about a Marina 1.8 Coupe that a widow is trying to dispose off...

Anyway I've just spoke to the Audi buyer, it's made it to Sterling without any drama so far!

Marina, lucky git i so want one.

AS delivery relay might be viable perhaps?

I spoke to the buyer of the Audi today, he done 803 miles in it in the end and has already fitted a set of Speedlines and sports exhaust, thankfully he still loves it too!

I said it was a good car for the money!

Triggs get a caravan, weekends away from the rat race....

Plate's worth a few quid isn't it? Perfect for someone called 727M.

I don't want a caravan and i have no where to put one even if i did want one, stop going on about them!

Glad you got a good result there Mike, perseverance sometimes pays off. Now get straight back on  ebay/carandclassic/mongtree :P

thats a great ending and I don't just mean you not buying a Marina

I'm already looking! Part of me quite fancies a nice Marina or Allegro (if there is such a thing) just to see what they are really like. Saying that i don't think my watch list could get much more random!

That cortina looks nice but they drive the same as a mk3 so you'd have the same car in a slightly less stylish body.

I'd have that xr6 if I was you but it'd be nearer to you if it was in belgium

Thats kinda what bothered me. I drove that green one on Saturday and it felt a bit too familiar, even a few friends have said I'd be silly to get another but the Mk5 seats does feel more comfortable than the Mk3 and i like the simplicity of a Cortina. The trouble is the cars I was buying for £2000 3 years ago are now over £5000 and in my view over priced. Traders are buying up all the cheaper cars and retailing them at prices which the average Joe can't afford or won't pay so they just sit on their forecourts.

Everyone is getting KGF itis when it comes to old car prices, stuff until recently you could get for peanuts are now £3k upwards. The bubble has to burst sometime

Skizzer was hinting about selling a car in another thread, maybe a certain Vauxhall he has would tickle your fancy ... Then Skizzer could buy that Gamma ;)

I spoke to Martin about it a little while back but i don't really fancy it if I'm honest, if it was a 2300 GLS it might be a bit different though!
