Oi Shitpez, are you still alive?

No updates for 6hrs+ make me think he's either dead or lost his phone ... I'm getting concerned.

edit: I just remembered what with it being Mothering Sunday he might be on family duties ... there is more to life than collections.

Sorry everyone. I stopped to help Overrun on an Aframing jaunt on the way home, which ended up taking a bit longer than expected. I shall update properly in a moment.

One of you guessed right.

I was picked up from the station by a nice bloke in a 4.7 litre V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee (0-60 in 6 seconds). It was mega comfy.  We wafted out to ruralish Yorshire where the car was sat.  He had bought it for his lad to Autotest, but the class ended up being 1400cc max, so they went for Metros instead.  K-series FTW.  Theres a dailly gta, a built race car and a work in progress.

Pics because some people like Metros.

Its a Suzuki Ignis Sport.

1.5 on a chain, but but proper OFF THE HOOK.

It loves second gear, is pretty light and grippy and is a really nice drive.  It growls well enough, and is a bit noisy at motorway speeds, but its all engine noise, which I'm happy yo put up with.

Lovely.

Glad it isn't the top of the range Fusion 3 also on the driveway....

The drive home was lovely.  Brimmed it before I left, and again just before Houghton, which gave a man maths verdict of 42.34mpg on the run home.  I wasnt hanging about either.  I normally cruise at 60, 65 but this feels like its standing still at those speeds.  Its very tight and planted and eager to get on.

It ticked over 88888 on the drive home too.

It was a lovely day for a drive in Yorkshire, and though the roads wernt exactly challenging, I still enjoyed myself greatly.  The miles fell away and it seemed a bit of a shame to stop when I get back to Tyne and Wear, so I handed it over to Overrun who pedalled it gently round a local rally stage.  It wants to go faster was the consensus.

The verdict on this not at all Autoshite car is VERY yes.  Its all I hoped it would be and I'm very undisapointed with it.  Theres no such thing as a keeper, but I think this will be staying a while.  It does everything well (but not amazing.)

Like I said earlier, its frugal and sporty.  Its a small car but MASSIVE inside.  With no sunroof, theres loads of head and arse room, and I'm a fair old lump.  Its boring and reliable (thus far), but feels fun too.

Its not perfect, but people seem to want 2 grand for perfect ones, so I'm happy to swim in the shallow end.  The clutch is a bit heavy and high, but doesnt slip. The OEM alloys have been painted (badly) and are starting to flake and theres a few scraped and dings.  Nothing bad enough to worry me though.

If you havnt had a go in one of these, do it if you ever get the opportunity. Ideally on a windy road.

8/10
