Think I may have to slightly re-evaluate the 600 quid I was going to advertise my 2.6 MV6 for ...

Posted

I've done a few AT searches over the last few weeks for now obvious reasons and didn't see a single 3.0 or 3.2 V6.

A few 2.6s, but a lot of a 2.2 petrol and DTis.

On its way to becoming a cultish classic.

If the rear arches are good, and the belts have been done within living memory, they are starting to fetch good money, especially the 3.2 ones.

I would love an estate version..................

Aye, tis a bit steep;)

FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

FWIW, it's 120 miles south of me, so basically it's not even in your hemisphere.

I'll not mention that you could have flown to Bournemouth and then done a wingless-tube-journey across to Dorset to collect it and stopped off at mine enroute home, though. That wouldn't be cricket.

I live in Yetminster, which is basically a one horse town...............without a horse.

Moving into Yeovil shortly, as our esteemed landlady, despite assurances to the contrary when we moved in, is selling the property

My dad's Vectra C was a heavy thing but went well with the 2.2 DTi and was good on diesel if you didn't rag it. Tuning boxes are available.

Ah yes, for some reason yesterday I thought Yeovil was in the north, then today after some sleep realised it's in Somerset / that sort of area way way waaaaay away from me.

I'm fairly northern and you could have had my MV6 if I had known. I knew I should have advertised it weeks ago. You snooze you lose though I guess!

Hugely under-rated cars, still regret selling my 3.0 a couple of years back. It was everything you'd want a 'posh' car to be, just wearing an unfashionable badge.

Bad luck :(

The last good Vauxhall, and it's even got the correct engine. 3.0 and 3.2 are the only acceptable flavours for these.

I've always had a soft spot for Carlton GSIs, but as they are now heading northwards in price [nice ones now £3k plus,] this was the next best option.

What a terminal cow!

I was in the same situation before and know exacly what this is like.

Tenant rights in England are medieval!

Keep that Voxerl, get yourself that green 200 quid 405 estate from SX, if it's still available and roffle it after the move.

Or maybe some shiter darf sarf can lend you his LDV Pilot?

Anyone up for swappage for estate before I start paddling in the murky pool of disappointment that is ebay?

Posted

Bumping the thread for what seems like an amazing car for the price and to ask what the millage is on it.

Brodders;

158k, although you'd never know, £4 of bills in past few years, previous owner seemed to be the sort of bloke who took it to the garage, and gave them carte blanche.............honestly, it would pass for a three year old car.

Lovely car and sorry to hear of your predicament.
