Is it only me, or is a Sierra collection thread courtesy of Doublewilson missing here somewhere?

Oh yes. I've searched high and low for the log book and I'm buggered if I know where it's gone. Tax is up next month but I have the reminder in front of me so I can furnish you with the reference number when the time comes if you haven't already applied for a replacement.

I'm still waiting for that too!

You would struggle with a Sierra collection thread - I drove the fucker to him and brought the BX back!

Collection thread:

Step 1 - Leave armchair, and walk to window

Step 2 - Observe Sierra

Step 3 - Done

exactly, so where are the pics?

Does it have the original steelies amongst the other old shit spares?

Are you in need of a trip south at any point? I don't know that I can find the time to travel to the bit of North Yorkshire that's almost Scotland.

No steelies but there are original wheel trims in a bag!

I don't have any immediate plans to head south but if Chris is offering a lift up, where's your excuse now ?!

Driving a BX 19Deisel Auto today has made things worse, I now want this BX but simply don’t need any more cars and its 211 miles away and I will have to MOT it!

It's the principle of the thing. No Woolarding? No petrol station? No handshake? Tsk tsk.

GLWTS of the BX bike though. I would, but [insert usual excuses here].

Ha! I like the BX and In theory I suppose it could do the job my Discovery does only less thirstily, but I need a weekend off from epic tat-related voyages and the missus is very fond of the Disco so I fear I'm out this time.

On the plus side, I take it all back about the lack of a collection thread. I've just discovered WilsonShitpeas's legendary tale from a few days ago, laughed a lot, and no longer feel cheated.

It's not the getting to you, I have already looked into trains before Chris' kind offer, unfortunately due to Mrs R's recent redundancy, she has had to take up night shift work at a care home, so whilst I'm working in the day, I don't go out at night as I've the girls to look after. It does rather limit one's range, I'm hoping something a little more sociable will find her soon!

WIL U TAKE A ROVER AND A PLASTATON 2?*

*NOT REALLY although I would love this but i already have 3 cars needing an MOT that I need to get off my arse and sort and don't need another.

It seems the shite gods have spoken; six_cylinder should not have a GMC suburban, nor an MG ZR, but this BX of much cheapness....

When next month does the mot expire and do those who know this BX well think it would make it to the French Alps and back?

I wouldn't doubt it for a moment. My stripey one managed to climb several mountains in The Alps even with a holed water pipe. It didn't climb the mountains very quickly, but didn't tax it.

4th March I think the test runs out.

Can't see it having any issues with a long trip, she runs well.

I'd be into the wheeltrims if they're available.

I've put it on eBay for £325.

Received an offer for £200, thought I would take that. Just about to accept and I get a message from the user saying to ignore the offer - I responding stating it was good timing as I was about to accept the offer.

He then replied saying 'no worries ... Got told it was on a forum earlier for £200'

Quite what he was getting at there fuck knows, especially since he could have had it for £200. Although he had reduced the cost to account for travel!

Yeah he looks and sounds a bit of a grade A twat to be honest. I would rather stick my balls in a meat slicer than deal with people like that.

Who 'grassed' you up then? Rather unsporting. FFS. Is it not allowed to offer a car at a low price to a forum - a forum where the car has changed hands many times - and ask a bit more on Ebay anymore?

Posted

Obviously not Ian.

To be fair, looking at the eBay message I think the guys probably thought it was on here for £200, somebody has bought it and punted it onto eBay at £325 to make a profit, or will take £200 because it's been bought and is a shed.

Clarity for anybody who is unsure - it's an unwanted part exchange. I was going to keep it but I'm getting Rob's MK1 Mondeo Ghia tomorrow which fills the cheap estate gap.

Does make you wonder what people want for £200 notes mind.

Ah, I think I've got it now. S'pose it's changed hands so quickly that someone could have assumed it was already moved on for a quick buck!
