Found this in the boot the other day. Some quality control sign off on day of production.

Lovely colour, really suited them!

I always found pepper red not a bad colour to match in if you were spraying them.

Ah this one, glad to see, someone was saying they paid £300 for it recently, assume sold it for more?

A base saloon registered in March? Yeah, big excite!!

No, there could be as many as 20. But some have long expired MOTs, and some of those may have gone round an oval.

Known ones on the road other than mine are

K440 LYA and K901 EEW, we also need to find some pics of K688 NHW which is a taxed and MOT'd blue 1.6 base registered in March 93 - so very early - this looks like a base too.

I've been worrying about 688 for two years 🤪!

I'm sure it will be at one of our meets so I'll try and get some better photos for you!

New tyre day. Last time @RobT helped me out with these when I was unwell in summer 22.  Had a full set of Toyos.

Because of the suspension work last year, shortened the lifespan of the fronts and got an MOT advisory on inside wear (not usual!)

So, two new fronts today, switching to Yoko Blu earths my 'fave' tyre ahead of the long run down to Rustival this week to bed them in.

Looks like it’d benefit from a bloody good T-cut!

That's crying out for a recreation by miss egg 😂

What an outfit!  Could be arranged, with base model appropriate garb, of course.

Have you got a metallic greyish-blue K444KKT on your K reg Ford Mondeo list? I saw this one on a B-road come flying past a junction I was waiting to come out of, and it seems to feature front ginger-cators for reasons unknown, and large 5-spokers from a Zetec/Citrine Si/Escort GTi. It looked quite clean for the 4 seconds that I saw it.

That one is actually on a private plate and is a much later MK1.

Yep, you're right! It's not only a later model, but it could even be the newest mk1 remaining!

A quick check on Carvertical says it's a 1.8 GLX. The original plate was P152EDV from 23rd May 1997, nearly 8 months into mk2 sales.

Lovely to see you and the Mondeo again at Rustival. Scary how long ago it was that I filmed it!

A recent photo find on Facebook, no MOT since 2011. March registered Si, making it exceeding rare.

Those wheels, tho

It's a bloody shame, as a few weeks ago was pictured on its original base trims, hope they are still around...

Figured this might be too much girly frivolity for this serious matter of Mondeos but please enjoy my best attempt at matching Rimini Blue for Rustival.

My grey Si was an L plate. TBH, it didn't seem any faster or more sporty than any of the 2.0LXs I was running on my fleet at the same time.
