Six-cylinder Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 Mr Chris_Cylinder - are caravans allowed? Skattrd - Poss Fri, poss Sat - poss camping, maybe bring caravan - vague and undecided I don't see a problem with the odd caravan, as long as I have got somewhere to go if it rains!
beko1987 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 The forum? Charidee? Hire of the bogs? Hadn't thought of that tbh. If ruffgeezer does a live tool tombola he should keep all the cash tbh, but if we all bought stuff to sell for peanuts we could raise money for the forum's next HGF?
skattrd Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I don't see a problem with the odd caravan, as long as I have got somewhere to go if it rains! Cheers, that was my thinking, plus comfy sleeping and a stove ... I'll ask sister for potential lend of caravan.

Arthur Foxhake Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Excellent. He is another car nutcase, also has a 3 door 55 bel air station wagon. Looking forward to it, the new travel burner is much bigger and improved from the smaller one in the pix but still freestanding and safe. Unless you try and hug it while it's on I suppose.

barefoot Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Fuck sticks! The fair lady barefoot has just booked my holidays and tells me that I'll be going to Southwold for the week in the bay and coming back home on the Friday of the festival of shite. Being a lady and consequently, not good at shitting in a tupperware, she is adamant that we are not camping over, the end. However, it is possible that we may pop in to say hullo in the bay of lasting joy on our journey home.I'll see what degree of grumpiness she exudes on the day and navigate accordingly. Appologies for any inconvenience caused by my removal from the list. Longblackcoat Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I think Mrs Lbc is planning on us being in Turkey at that time, but if not, I'll day visit. Thing is, I've nothing properly shit to drive up in. Arse.
Guest Breadvan72 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Two ideas, both mad, but one less mad than the other:- (1) Plan Mad.I live a modest distance from the Shitefest location. I have several goppingly crap cars. The chances are that they will all or mostly be broken in late June, but, if by some miracle any are not, I wonder would anyone be interested in joining in some ferry driving so that the assembled multitudes can laugh and point at all the horrible heaps at once? You would have to be insured to drive someone else's car, and I would prefer it if you have been driving for at least five years and have not smashed up a car or been done for anything worse than speeding. A bit of mechanical sympathy for cars that are old and quirky (I am taking about pre coil on plug cars, with carbs and shit brakes, and crap like that) would be a plus. (2) Plan Madder.James May. He is the only one from TG who is not a twat. He actually knows about cars, unlike the other two, who are twats, and know fook all about cars. Why not invite him? I don't know the bloke, but I know his flying instructor, as he is also my flying instructor, so maybe I could get a message through to the dude. catsinthewelder, Skizzer, HMC and 4 others 7
beko1987 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Plan 2 would be fucking EPIC! Happy to help with plan 1 (could even drive my car there to sleep in and get a lift back to yours. Never driven anything older than the ZX, but the upmost care will be taken. Any that I fancy being in whilst being hooned I'll ask for a passenger ride!
beko1987 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Failing that, happy to assist in bring the chosen shiter drivers over to yours and just joining the convoy on the way back!
skattrd Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Cough, me, Lotus please, or whatever sporty car you have at the time.I think I fit all the criteria (I notice mental health is not specified)
oldcars Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 James May would be class. When shitters break down he can say "oh cock" beko1987 1

Mad Plan 1 - I am also considering asking for volunteers if the weather is good to bring over a few extra cars from my home (2 miles away) to line up for a photo call. You are welcome to bring yours up in advance but parking in an unmanned field is at your risk. Mad Pan 2 – James May would be welcome to visit but I would not want to turn this into some sort of public event.
dollywobbler Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Sorry but I can't think of one good reason to invite James May. This event already has everything it needs to WIN. Slebs not necessary. Sigmund Fraud, Uncle Jimmy and binhoker668 3

Compared to some on here, JM would be way down the 'want to meet' list! If Scary and Bollox turned up in their lagunas that would be enough for me. (then we could have a sweepstake on if they made it home or not)

mat_the_cat Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I'm up for assistage with the driving if required, preferably in the oldest, shonkiest heap you own at that point in time (book a nearby MOT?) Not sure about James May - on one hand I'd like to make up my own mind about the man rather than the persona, but concerned about an 'unknown' being there and potentially eclipsing the real spirit of the event. Uncle Jimmy and dollywobbler 2
320touring Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Happy to assist with drivage of either or both fleets! Mr May would be welcome too:)
