Excavated tent from garage, filled maestro boot with spares I took out last week, filled coolant tank with water, filled bags with stuff for weekend, more stuff in car.

Thanks man.  I've got a set I can bring though, and a spare big battery out of the SD1, in case of trouble en route.  By coincidence I nearly bought a jump start pack yesterday but thought nah, I've got a spare hi-cap battery that'll do the job.  Trouble is it's about 4 miles away from me.

 

What with this and my business being somewhat fucked as of this morning, I'm now looking at staying home today to sort stuff out and coming up to SF tomorrow.  I may miss the Chinnor trains - so be it.

I think I will leave the Rolls at home and bring the Peugeot instead Front wheel drive and less than 40bhp seems the sensible option for muddy fields.

Jag still FTPing, even after charging the battery. Suspicion now passes to the starter motor - all click and no whirr.
