I was thinking far east too but can't find anything with clear indicators on top of red lenses.The C-pillar shape looks quite unique but doesn't ring any bells.

Used to work on these way back. It was a very similar car that I learned always to check the oil filter seal comes away with the old filter... quite a mess I made.

metro still going except now over in middleton,yes its the kia mentor 2 owners,great people,bought for £150,8 mths mot,some light corrision on sills,rear w/arches,time for kurust,fibreglass filler leftover from metro..ultra womble,thats the one gumtree,did not want to overspend,...its 1997 version,glx,,handbrake very suspect,new shoes,are adjust needed,order timing belt,oil from euro £11. for both,no listing for airfilter,have a vauxhall one in my spares cupboard,may cut to fit,..

still raining,photos tomorrow,got the radio,electric mirrors  working,needed 2 15 amp fuses,sill work to follow if we get dry day,topped up oil very low,used my concution of various oils ive mixed together to top up,put abit of water,blue antifreeze in,rad.all tyres good,same make,. :mrgreen:

right bit more work done today,take off cambelt,waterpump leaking,get a blueprint jobbie,tippex timing marks,put on continental belt ,same make as tyres,will keep an i on the other belts,see pictures,done abit on rear wheelarch,...

more pictures tomorrow,surface corrision on sills,tidied up with fibreglass filler,will hopefully black the sill,found a hole on rear lower passenger sill,time to get welder out soon,changed air filter mikayo £4.00 from euro,..

new pictures,cleaned the rear w/arches,than painted with hammerite blue left over,put new plugs in,just arrived from the post,denso, :-D

off the road for couple of days,have removed rad its fooked,leaking like tea bag,managed to find one on fleabay £25,just waiting for it come through,bought some cheap ucol antifreeze,will use that.. :-D

the radiator has now turned up look in better condition than the old one,will fit this when it warms up abit,

I had one in red. Dull as dishwater, but the charm of something with at least a little charm.
