There are only 63 in total of a certain type of car that resides hereabout. However, the precise model that resides here is lumped in with all the other cars that are near its description... when new, there were 12 made and 8 exported.... so how many left now?

sloth You probably won't like it, i modified it back in the early 2000s because my dad bought it for me as a smashed up wreck rear quarter damage mostly but it was covered in dents and damage and it's base interior was also destroyed, a combination of ripped seats, mismatched front to rear and the door cards were ripped, the parts weren't available even back then so modifying was the only way of saving it.

 

These are the earliest pictures I can find, they are after i repaired the body damage

 

 

 

I started rebuilding it a few years back and now I'm waiting for it to go in for paint.

Another vote here for the Stanza 3 door, this is the famous Croydon one that seems to have now been scrapped, unless the longterm owner hid it away somewhere.

 

I don't think I'd ever seen a car with such gratuitous overspray, the front windscreen had been sealed with parcel tape too.

Surprisingly, according to HML (and I do realise it might not be right) the last taxed Sao Penza left the road as late as Q2 of 2014.  One is still showing as SORN.  I'd have assumed any car going through a breakers now would always show as scrapped on the DVLA (i.e. not found on the tax checker website) but I suppose it could just as easily depend on how good yards are at filling in the paperwork.

 

The battered example photographed here still comes up, shows as untaxed since 2008 so it might yet be hiding in a garage somewhere, seems unlikely though.  MOT history shows less than 50,000 miles so it had a hard life by the look of it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Chrysler Alpine is rarer, vinyl roof as well. Rust never slept in those cars, even by 1970s standards.
