Of all the Vel Shatises, the 2-litre turbo pez has to be the one to have - the least unreliable engine and adequate performance without the daft fuel consumption of the 350Z lump.  I swore I'd never have another one of these after my last one, but this is seriously tempting...

Dunno about anyone else, but if I bagsie numbers even in a joking fashion expecting the car to sell outright, I'm committed to honouring them.

 

Even if the realisation is that what I could win would actually be more akin to losing, so quickly find a way to direct the fortune* at someone else.

 

The Vel Satis is something I'd be hoping to win, just because they've got a nice upright seating position, I know the 2.0 Turbo engine isn't too complicated (mumbles something about Avantimes and wishing he had more cash at certain points) and those cupholders would get me at least two junctions of triple-shot cappuccino on the M1.

 

However, I do generally like the framework of "all numbers taken, now everyone pay up", cause cashflow here isn't so much a flow as a torrent, in the wrong direction. If I can pay right away I do though.

I've nearly bought one of these twice for real money, had the two year old one been automatic as advertised I would have! (Metallic red, 40ish K on the clock but manual: £7999 at Car Giant/Great trade centre in 2005, she got a E39 instead) then next time was in 2008 when one that was welded to the showroom floor in Renault Harlow came all the way down to 16k pre-reg.
