Also the garnish moulding at the ceiling above the tailgate with unbroken mounting tabs.

Still can't believe you're getting the aircon fixed.

Aircon is only cool when you have it and others don't.

When you don't have it and others do, it sucks.

Aircon fixed, allegedly it's "the best aircon we've ever seen here".

"It does five, whereas the best hitherto did six and a half," whatever that means,

but I could state this under "I was told" in an eBay ad should I be inclined to flog the car,

which I'm not.

 

Anyway, to sum up what was done recently:

 

New eggsorst

New brakes including new calipers, discs, pads all round

Compete underbody anti rust treatment, including cavities

Cambelt and wapu

Complete engine and gearbox service

Complement the almost new rear tyres with new fronts of the same make and model

Adjust tracking

Regas the aircon

 

All in all about 800 quid.

I guess this was one of the most old money things I ever did in my life, no?

Ah shite. No bits I'm afraid but that looks a very easy repair, pretty much all bolt on/off stuff from memory.

Still shit but it won't be too painful I'm sure.

Nah, there is no damage to the actual car.

Both wings have survived unscathed, that's the important bit.

 

What's needed are:

 

Bonnet

Bumper

NS headlight

NS indicator

Both headlight buckets

Slam panel, which is plastic

Are the bonnet hinges/hinge mounts ok? looks like it transfered a bit of force back there.

I can help with headlight and possibly indicator. Shout if that's useful, I assume it'll be likely that this all comes from one car.

You can have whatever bits you need off my light blue saloon for nothing, I've now robbed it it of most of the parts I think I'm going to want.  It will be scrapped fairly soon.

 

Two problems are: 

 

1  I'm in Plymouth

2  The bumper and spoiler are different on the saloon.
