Wow. Overdose of bravery pills I think.

Of course, CX + Dollywobbler always equals success. no?

I'm washing my hands of this endeavour because I've got to get my own Citroen barge back to Wales. I shall be watching progress with interest though. And a certain amount of envy.

Maybe we should line the routes to Scotland and Wales waving our little flags!

Things to note:

1. Doors and wings are all fucked. all new bare doors and wings supplied- so it is a tear down and refit shift.

2. Coolant is currently behaving. emergency water already packed.

3. the underside had been welded, but to a good standard- little to worry about there.

4. Engine runs well, is willing and gearbox shifts/kicks down fine.

5. Brakes fine and pull up straight.

6. Suspension is working well

7. Interior is LOVELY!

8. Do not lock!

9. Charging is odd?!

so tomorrow will mainly be fix door lock(if possible)

stock up on spare fluids

See if can get radio to work

Charge spare battery.

and possibly drive hame

With all this CX love on this thread has anybody got a spare temperature control lever. It is for my S1, unusual I am told because it is the type that is between the front seats but is climate control with numbers marked on it. It is an electrical switch setting the temp, the roof sensor has been checked and temporally bypassed to test the flap moves and all seems fine. The heating is set on hot only at the moment.

I can't wait for the next instalment of CX to Scotland story....

I still remember my first cx drive. I was only 17, had just passed my test in a Nova and drove round in a mini.

My boss sent me out in his CX25DTR Turbo 2 Familial.

It was terrifying!

No it wont... Apparently the electricity fucked off and mr. Touring is experiencing the delights of being sat on the m25, at least he can have a kip in comfort whilst he waits for the rac!

Got it re started, and came off at junction 9. Now in Ashtead.

Have coffee and cake, RAC on way.

We'll see if we can get it going- failing that its tracks back to Scotland.

Being trailered back would save loads of fuel... If you di get going again let me know, just dobt turn it off at oxford...

Unlucky. Autoshite Citroen collection threads that include the M25 don't always end well it seems...

Apparently he's homeward bound on an rac truck. Shit luck for the surrry based bloke having to come back from scotlandshire. Quick, someone southern buy a volvo, run it over to neils and get it bought back...

Check that the alternator you go home with is the one that came with the car when you bought it!

gatwick has been achieved!

flight is delayed til 22.49 but food type places are available.

All in all not too bad for a collection thread!

hope folk have enjoyed it. A new alternator and she should be right as rain..

only annoying thing is that it was a non citroen oddity failure..
