Collectioneering thread, with a difference. Now with PHOATAZ and boringness.

Yikes, can it really be two months since I last did a collectionage?   This cannot continue.  Tomozzer I am heading to Northernland Land with a smallish bundle of cash and will hopefully be doing some driving of a car the likes of which I would usually rather shag a dead pig than sit in.  There is a method in this insanity.  All may be made clear tomorrow.   I will do some live dodgy train pie and upholstery photeeze if technology permits.

Now off to eat food with olive oil in it, drink wine and do other southern stuff (eg: have a job, possess own teeth) in order to steel myself for braving the whippet and butty infested pagan wilds.

It's grim up North(ampton), goodness knows what it's like even further than that.  Good luck, and remember we're all counting on you

Moar motors at BV_towers?

It is a nice stable you're gathering there anyway.

Wheel count

Tow car 4

Small trailer 2

Vehicle on trailer = a 3 wheeler

Im probably miles off but that's where my logic has lead me!

Is it a Carmichael 6x6 Range Rover, with two spare wheels (I assume the ninth is the steering wheel) or half a sixteen wheeler rig?

It is a horsebox, isn't it?

I believe that it is a perfectly standard four wheeled motorised conveyance, and that you have merely followed the lawyers' convention in calculating a bill when describing it. Think of a number, double it.......

..... then add a little bit on :)

Like that ^^

It really could be anything couldn't it.

However, I reckon MGF, MX5, Citroen AX or a small Rover. Or a big Rover.

I don't really know.

Make sure you have the correct amount of folding BV.

Sorry, nine

Oh, oh is it a Robin Reliant with a Sinclair C5 on a roof rack towing a unique hand built trike?

Sounds to me like it involves a PX, and Cavcraft offloading some shit moped with a missing wheel.

Fine guesstimations!  Keep them coming.

Up betimes, but this is not an early one, so can eat breakfast at home rather than buying some starchy greasefest en route  (might still do that anyway).

Charged the battery on the Jaaaaaaaaag  (beefy new battery, but voltmeter still below 13 at revs, so query some belt slippage or other charging faffness, and battery was flat on Saturday morning - even the usually infallible Landy could not jump start the Shaggedoutuar*).

First stage:  drive 8 miles to Princes Risborough station.

*  Poss flooded, tried open throttle, no dice, and could not find can of easy starter or similar to squirt into air intake, and anyway find that hard to do when running back and forth between front of car and driver's seat, there being no one around to conscript.  Started OK yesterday after took battery out and charged up.

A portent of things to come perhaps?

I eagerly await the tears and lamentations this day is sure to bring.

I must away to bed now, but expect to awake to a tale of sorrow. Well done that man.

The tale involves Manchester, and also Darlington.  There can be only sorrow.

Ye gods, it's worse than I thought. You are a brave man BV, I salute you.

Risborough Station is the start of my usual commute.  About 45 miles from London, but feels like an extension of the suburbs.  The Chiltern Line is usually efficient and isn't mega expensive.   Lots of the trains have wifi and in two and a half years since leaving Smokey ville (economic migrant, not refugee) I have only ever had to stand up once on the way in to Town.  Costs so far, Jag fuel at 27 mpg (or so the car's computer says) for 8 miles, so whatever that is in V Power, flat white £1.90, Times £1.20. Season ticket for train and season ticket for parking already paid for anyway.  Cab Marylebone to Euston 8 quid (CBA to go on tube as have overnight bag and tools with me), bunged the dude 2 quid tip cos he was funny.

Booked first advance on Virgin for 54 quid (cheaper than standard bought on the day).  Now leaving The Great Wen. ETA Manchester Piccadilly ETA 1230.
