Please note the brand of 66 ish % of cars there . They couldn't be arsed cos their life is too important for such trivial things

I understand that if you park two audis nose to nose then they repel each other

I used to park outside my ex MILs house like that. Type 3 dumped on one side, my Scirocco pulled forwards next to it, and a Mondeo behind the Scirocco. By leaving big gaps, I could squeeze the Rocco out without moving the Mondeo.

That looks like they've parked so the black Audi can get out.

I saw an X5 wanker chariot parked 3 foot from the curb yesterday in the busy and rather narrow Leigh Broadway! Other cars had to stop to go round it.

We've jusy come back from the hospital, and when I got back to my car (i drove), some audi dick had parked with his front wheels nearly touching my rear end.

I did try to catch my door before it smacked into his 6 month old paintwork, maybe he should have parked properly...

Behind my house is a large resident's carpark, however as most of the residents are lazy they insist on clogging up the street in front of the houses rather than having to walk round from the carpark. One of the residents however has just got a new Golf, he has now decided that despite the car park being two thirds empty he must park in the one disabled space, just in case anyone parks next to his amazing new success wagon.

I had a block where there was an allocated parking space for every flat.  Silly solicitor didn't specify that the numbered space was for one car and you got that sheer nonsense of people trying to park both of their cars/bikes/vans in one space.  Rules sadly are for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools.

The UK government should do a scheme similar to the Japanese and their K-car tax thing. Car size is getting ridiculous, I can't even park my -MINI- (!) in my 1960's garage. It's too big haha!

Watching todays cars having difficulty parking due to their external size Ive been shocked that they're not as roomy inside as their 70's counterparts. I don't understand how anyone manages a proper jump in them. The new Smart 4 door has a box between the rear seats to discourage copulation and probably to keep a bit of engine in that wouldn't squash down under the seat. A Marina van with a mattress in the back is far better in every way.

I don't believe it. The relatively best parked of the lot is an Audi SUV.

This photo must be fake.

They're allocated residents parking bays which I look down on from my balcony. The red Audi A3 comes & goes every day, and I've never seen it parked with all 4 wheels in the box.

Drop bricks off the balcony in such a way that they only land just outside of the bays. Any part of the car protruding will be damaged. If that doesn't learn them to park in the space then there's no chance. I can't wait for the apocalypse when these self important fuckwits are fighting for their lives and dropping like flies.

in 1998 I choose the size my concrete garage as a compromise between the amount of my small garden I would loose, how much I would need to extend the base by, and whether I could get around all 4 sides of my car.

Failed to realise that the AX I had might not be the largest car I'd ever own.

Cars I've had since that would fit.

Lucky. I wouldn't mind a "residence parking" by mine. Parking around is very shit due to it being a tourist town, so I can't park by house as parking is only allowed from 7pm to 7am, then from 7am it's 1 hour only otherwise you get ticketed.

The Clowncil here want £70 per month for a "full season ticket" to use thier carparks. A local solicitors wants £50 per month to use thier carpark. Otherwise there are only 2 unrestricted roads which are often quite full or a local housing estate behind mine which is mostly double yellows, only unrestricted on a steep incline which is usually full anyway. Those roads are about a minute or two walk away from mine, so a brisk and healthy walk to my car it is for me! It ain't bad to be honest, you get to appreciate the sites around here!

So yeah, it's fun/expensive around here to park.

Going back to the size thing, when I bought the Stagea, it struck me as a big car when I saw it first (interestingly, you don't really notice that from the driver's seat but you do if you sit in the back).

Anyway, despite it having acres of room inside it, parked up next to the latest model Mondeo/Insignia, it's about the same size (but both of those cars have far less usable space inside them).

In my head, it's always been that size was directly proportional to the usefulness of lugging stuff about... but this apparently no longer seems to be the case...!

Volvos seem to be starting to suffer from the same affliction too.
