2004 Rover 25 Streetwise IMPORTANT UPDATE PLEASE CHECK IN!

Ok I've seen something silly to buy and I would like to sell this first.

It's done a shade over 117k and there isn't a lot of history to show for it, last stamp in the book is a few years ago.

In my ownership, it's had new front pads and the tailgate loom has had a bit of rewiring. I unplugged the alarm's interior sensor as it was faulty.

I've covered probably 2000 miles in the car since I bought it, and it has been faultless, well other than the front badge falling off at some point anyhow.

It's got about 3 months mot left to run, i wouldn't like to guess at if it'd pass another without any work, but if a buyer wants to know for sure, I'd happily have it tested at their cost.

It is pretty scruffy and has a "damage" marker on the logbook (rear bumper has been replaced at some point, as was the front a few years ago due to an interaction with a motorcyclist).

It's a 1.4 K series, it had a head gasket and heater matrix 4 or 5 years back at the garage I work at, the temp needle never bothers the top half of the gauge.

What else can I say? It's a rough example of a late Rover... Cheap, honest, transportation.

As always, I can collect buyers from Lincoln or Boston railway stations, or Wainfleet if using National Express.

This is another one of those cars on here that I want but if I bought it I'd try to never sell it.....

Anyway er an excuse er it's the wrong colour. Good luck and all that :-)

All the best Rovers seem to be £275 these days.

23,26,27 and 33 please :)

Paging Reg Gordon Bo11ocks - saviour of the K series....

That's a billy bargain - I love mine and it cost me twice that (albeit with a full test and half the miles...)

I'm away camping at the moment, but once I've got the cambelt on the pug done. Rofflage is inevitable.

Ok I'm going to bring this back up to the top, it's currently MOT'd until November 4th, however I'm going to see about checking it over for an early test this week, so please if you are interested speak now, with a full ticket it'll be £340 or £275 as is.

Realistically, raffle tickets (assuming it gets a fresh mot) will be £7 each.

3, 15, 28 and 41, please.

This one may be the first Raffle I participate in. (or not)

Ok I had it on the emissions machine today and the remaining guts in the cat are enough to satisfy an MOT tester, with that in mind it's mot is booked for tomorrow.

So to summarise, all being well 12 Months MOT, it's rough body wise, new pads a month ago, gear linkage stiff sometimes, 2 sets of keys & fobs.

It's located in south Lincolnshire, nearest stations are Lincoln or Boston, and I'm happy to collect from either, oh hey, whilst you are thinking of heading this way, why not augment your new Rover with some tat?

£7 gets you in, and I'll even give the poor bastard lucky new owner a limited edition* Autoshite dealer sticker!

There's literally nothing not to like about a Streetwise. Can you pm me with payment details for tickets, please?

Posted

I must have been fucking pissed! I don't remember copping for these numbers.

I demand a stewards enquiry!

Failing that, send me your pp deets.

Posted

I'll pm you details later Robin, if someone could copypasta the list please?

MOT results are in: Just an outer cv boot required. This will be fitted on Monday for a full ticket so we are game on.

The day before Chumalongadingdong ... of course I'll be at the garage. I shall doubtless be trying to fix whatever vehicle I have decided to take on the 300 mile round trip the next day.

If you're gonna pop round to the garage next weekend mate I can give you cash monies for the roffle tix if you want.

Posted

Yeah that's fine, you want any tools or tat? :D

Posted

Theoretically, if you raffled this on Weds, Skattrd could collect it for me and bring to Chumley, then walk home with two Toyota wings under his arms.

Posted

I may have some tickets depending on how lucky/unlucky I am tonight!

All these raffles and this is the only one that's tempted me so far. So go on as it's recently been my birthday can I have 45 please. Thanks

I have addressed the missing badge from the front end, as I couldn't be arsed to find a proper one, this is now filling the space:

A most worthy addition I'm sure you'll agree, and a handy component for bringing this back onto the front page. :D
