Spotted in Bexhill

Not sure I've seen a 3dr one. Do you know a runner from Eastbourne, Colin - or rather ex-runner?

It's a hot hatch.

I don't know any Colins from Ebo, no.

Maybe Deluxe, but seems early?

Do you mean the Anglia with a vinyl roof?

If so that is a Deluxe as the standard one had the painted grill as I'm sure you remember really. I'm pretty sure the vinyl must have been added at some time during or after the 70s to "bring it up to date"!

Went to Beaulieu Motor Museum today and half of it was shut for refurb.

However they did give us free tickets to go again up until April 2026.

Shame it's over 100 miles away.

Never mind, the weather was good and we had a great time!

Parked opposite this nice Ovlov

Shame they painted the roof white  on the Mk2 Landcrab

I don't think I've ever been in a SuperMinx, but my uncle had a Sceptre which was similar apart from a different roof and more powerful engine. And much more luxurious, but the same otherwise.

I did have an Allegro, but mine was an estate (Tahiti blue) and I only had it a couple of weeks. This is a nice late model and all the interior is much the same as a Metro

IMG_3497.JPG.0b55c082c1dfe1d03ff04dd94de04062.JPG

Also this car from Dr Who. When I was young I worked in a Gulf petrol station in Chislehurst and a Renault 4 often came in with the reg WHO1, the owner told me they let the BBC use it for the show

I didn't take a pic of lots of things I wish I did. The Bluebird land speed record car was amazing and I didn't expect to find it interesting. Partly as it was so big, the wheels are taller than me with smooth tyres and the shape is incredible. Plus when I was growing up Donald Campbell was always in the news. I'll get pics next time!

Long post, but that was a thing, for a while on them, Minis and ADO16's, when you think about it.

I had a blue woodie Mk Corgi 1 Tina estate. Dad had an E reg Mk 2 in Silver Fox Met. Later, I had a Mk 1 estate, LUU 139D, with a driver's door that flew open at left turns

The van is a Chevy Astro; usually comes with a 4.3 V6, also available under the GMC badge.  I have a feeling there are a couple of these on the forum.
