Superb! Will it appear at shitefest for us to perv over?

If SF15 was a big event at a full on exhibition centre I definitely see this on a plinth by the main entrance.

I'm so glad that this will probably be sold. I can keep my money in my pocket ... Until I snaffle the Bollox Rover ...

You guys (me as well) would not believe how much grief I'm getting from my lovely wife since I broke the news to her.

And I'm not talking here about being sent to the guest room or having quiet days.... It is a constant barrage of "how could you do this to me! Lada??? Have you f***ing lost your mind???" and on and on and on....

As we both have our origins in the eastern block I can see where she's coming from yet I'm thoroughly disappointed with her reaction. To be honest she does come from a posh family and even in our homeland Samara was seen as something worthy paying any money only for first few months of it being on sale. Masses changed their mind very quickly and it became proper poor factory worker car.

BUT THAT WONT STOP ME FROM GETTING WHAT I WANT!

Sam's bedroom will be cleared and ready for her arrival on Saturday.

Tell her to STFU and allow you the 'indulgence' of spending 350 on something you like and want. (Presumably you are not spending next months food budget on it)

You should have told her this isn't just any lada samara love, it's a SEDONA in kremlin racing yellow.

" Lada??? Have you f***ing lost your mind???"

Last week we had a lad of Russian parentage come to view a Lada for sale, he had the megahorn for it, he had driven all the way from Eastbourne just to view FFS!

He brought his Polish gf along for the ride. She was less impressed to say the least.

Of course he bought it.

Ready to go.

Got some cash, tassels, phone and charger. No bacon sandwich though as I'm on a diet ... I can eat bacon in unlimited amounts just not bread :)

Took a book with me that features loads of murderers driving volvos.

Wife dropped me off at the station. This is the last I've seen her.

Just left Sheffield.

Amazing how many cars you can see hidden behind sheds and barns on that picturesque line from Manchester

Not much to report.

Book is good, hayfork is one of the murder weapons so there might be some barn finds later on.

Passed Chesterfield, Nothingham and now towards Grantham and Peterborough.

Loads of horse racing characters going to Nothingham today. I certainly levelled up in my winning horse picking knowledge.

My wife in a meantime sent me a message suggesting something truly atrocious...

She suggested me buying a vinyl wrap like this.

I sadly thing it's time for me to call in a lawyer ...

You can all start being jealous now. Sam is with me and we're or the road.

No garage picture as yet as this car came with half a tank. Win ;)

Col, thank you so much.

I'm surprised our friend Vlad hasn't yet shown an interest.

I have been very busy at being global leader last two weeks and missed this thread.  Glad it has happy ending.

My married friends say, if wife complains too much then buy her nice house next to Harrods, make her happy again.

What a pleasure to meet you Dan, couldn't have imagined a better recipient for the Sedona.

What you have done can be explained with the cassette case in the glovebox.

Great! We conveyed with Semi-C to Stondon the other week so i got to look at the Samara then, It looks pretty good fun, I was tempted to buy it last year for Shitefest.

200 miles done without a single glitch or trouble.

Home situation - highest danger level, avalanches expected ...

I know of a very good parts supplier for these in the Netherlands, who have good stocks of Samara parts, including door mirrors

Disappointed to find out that this made it's way up to Glasgow only to be broken for spares... Was it anyone on here who bought it?

Ooh really? That's a shame.

However, there may be another coming onto the market shortly...
