So... Would anyone like to buy a bx?

Yes.

Just not THAT bx.

Do you have a metal one in stock?, not after an expanding foam shaped replica.  😳

In all seriousness, bloody shame that's so far gone.

Oh my, that's ruined. Generous selection of parts though. I, for one, could do with a non-perished steering wheel and gearknob...

You mean chicken wire and expanding foam doesn't have the same structural strength as steel.  Break it and get your money back, weigh shell in

Some proper period correct Haynes manual style repairs there. Rare you get to see a proper chicken wire job these days.

Fuck, that's rough. Shame but you can't save them all. Is there much of a market in breaking these?

It could be profitable, if you can be arsed

What state are the seats in?  I'm still in the market for a not totally knackered set for mine if it ends up getting broken for parts.

Seats look good, if it's being broken I'll definitely remove them as they are one of the comfiest seats I've found.

Who would have known that Toyota chilli red was an almost exact* colour match on the BX?

I did a video comparison of all of the Peugeot diesels running at the same time in this lineup.

Fuck, so you did go for it! Is it gonna turn into a flatbed shite hauler as I suggested? I think its ideal...

This just keeps reminding me how much i want a BX.

And the rot of this one shows how unlikely it is to ever happen.

305 all the way. 200k has never sounded so good.

I thought the Pilot's engine sounded just as good, clocks stopped a few years ago at 137k so it may well be on a similar mileage.

I recall those Pilots having quite a fruity exhaust note.

I think the word you are looking for is ‘farty’

I honestly can’t wait for Scott to start tearing into the BX to see just how fucking rotten it is.

Part of me is fucking astonished how bad that is

Another part of my can't believe how much time and effort somebody went to on so much half quarter arsed bodgery

And yet i still think, somehow, i still expected it to be even worse 😂

What a fucking heap.

What amazes me is how much effort and skill that had gone into this bodge. Surely it would have been significantly easier and cheaper to just fix it properly in the first place. Absolutely mental.

Astonishing levels of bodgery! I love the pile of detritus by the Chevette at the end. I wonder how much it weighs?

Can't be much, it looks proper rapid to be fair!

'kin ell! Whole new levels of bodge wobbery. There can't have been more than an afternoon's worth of welding needed to sort that properly originally. Now utterly fucked. Would've been cheaper than all that plywood, foam, filler and chicken wire too.

I reckon an afternoons welding will see it looking good again. Now that I know what I'm working with I'm quite tempted to have a go at welding it. I was keen to get it away before I'd smashed holes in it and could have done with the space for a £300 Lexus but the Lexus didn't end up happening and I've made a bit of space from preparing the 205 for scrap so I have no real rush to get rid of it.

Plus the MGF should be leaving shortly so will have a bit of space back next week if the Lexus is to turn up.

Camry failed its mot yesterday so going to be doing a bit of welding on it today. I thought I'd get a clean pass but I've got to admit I've never really inspected it, it was just the fact that it drives so well that led me to believe everything was fine. It just needs a small bit of welding in the inner wheel arch and possibly the exhaust sticking back together so quite an easy fail list to work to.
