Did a pulley swap on the old lawnmower making it a little bit faster!
Also fitted a massive exhaust for a laugh but it didn't make a difference to the sound of it. Next plan is to make an accelerator pedal on the floor and to weld the diff.

Spotted this for sale this morning so went along and bought it. It drove fine apart from a very annoying oil pressure warning buzzer sounding randomly for different lengths of time.

I didn't have any oil on me so just gave it a quick check on the way home and seen there was definitely oil in there, it wasn't until I was back and on level ground I checked and it was way above the maximum level on the dipstick.

First thing I did when I got home was changed the oil, then fitted a matching set of wheels then fitted a stereo. The oil warning buzzer hasn't been on since.

That's absolutely great, a 1.3 Jetta with 4 speed and 55bhp. How does it drive? Really jealous of some of the cars you unearth.

I have had a couple of Jettas and really liked them! Haven't seen one for ages other than at car shows

It drives really quite well, the seller complained about it's power but I think it's great. I'm not really a fan of fast cars so it suits me perfectly.

Nice! I had one very similar but  a GTI. Loved it !

Had a potential swap offer for my Audi A6 that I haven't even bothered to advertise yet, a non running Riva, in bits, photos from 2015. Tempted.ab668f58fb26769742ae697fe75b3119.jpg9318a7418d2df1b50b8218fe0be96f05.jpg

I think the Jeep belongs to the painter next door.

I had a look at the Lada today, seems to be complete but requires welding on the floorpans. Repair panels are provided.

I'm swapping this for it.

An Audi A6 2.5 TDI 5 cylinder with 6 speed manual gearbox, I didn't pay very much for it but think it could be desirable to someone. I'm not sure how much someone might pay for one, there don't seem to be any for sale to compare with.

The mot is due to expire shortly and may need a few things sorted to pass the next one. I was going to sell it anyway but would have waited to see if it got a covid extension and sold it with 6 months test. With the Audi going I'll be on the hunt for another bland and anonymous "modern" car.

My old one was £550 with longish test and recent timing belts and pump done, but that was cheap. It sold for £850 when the new owner had the front suspension rebuilt.

Mileage was around 175k.

Seems a decent deal to me...but I'm probably the wrong person to ask!

Those Ladas always remind me of Allegro Vanden Plas' with that chrome grill stuck in the front

Not sure how much you usually pay for your cars but you could have my saab for £offers.

That's my thinking too.

Who cares about the precise monetary value of the cars? You've swapped a boring silver Audi for a Lada! Win.
