12 tents maximum (forgot to ask about campers, but will do, sorry) and it's Ã‚Â£15 per night with a fiver on top if you want electrics. I mentioned we were all in the same classic car club and they didn't seem phased (fazed?) by this at all.

Obviously twelve tents isn't exactly a huge number, so I can try other sites if people want. This one is an absolute cracker though, I don't think they have a website, but feel free to Google 'The Shady Oak, Tiverton, Cheshire, CW6 9UE.'

Obviously it'll depend on who wants to do what, but if people stayed Friday night or get there sort of mid-afternoon at latest on Saturday, there's the option of a trip to nearby Beeston Castle, it's about Ã‚Â£6.00 in and worth it for the views alone.

Motoring wise no museums locally, but there's some nice drives out including a country pub and a candle factory not too far away, good cafÃƒÂ© there and again ace views.

There's a canal boat hire company nearby, Ã‚Â£99 for the day and we'd get a few on AND be able to to take a trip down the canal to a pub just outside Chester.

I'd be in a car/tent, not the van. There may be the option of car camping in the pub car park if we get over 12 tents? I think it'd be more enjoyable to all stay in the same place if possible.

EDIT - Just Googled the pub and I've eaten there before a few years back, very tasty it was too

Is it just me being tight or have prices risen that much to camp?! Used to be about a fiver for a van and a couple of quid hook up in skeg! Will Have to see if I can get time off for this but might not be able to due to holidays booked

I've been looking for sites for a camping trip for the family in August. It seems Ã‚Â£25-30 is the norm these days for a 'van with hook-up - even more at some of the posh Caravan Club sites. Not much less for tents. So I'd say Ã‚Â£15 for a pub field is pretty reasonable.
