Bid, export and dismantle without a prayer.

Vs.

Six-cylinder loving care, with added Blighty residence, appreciation without bounds and ...winner!

Some photos. Some repeated, sorry about that.

I think I know why the Rolls Royces number plate rang a bell, XPF 560S is only a few numbers up from XPF 330S which was Arthur Daley's Rolls in an episode of Minder:

Initially I read the title to this thread as 'London closing down', and felt a wave of immense relief.

Such a shame although some of the exhibits were laughably bad.

It would probably have made a better attraction to normal people if they kept the interesting tidy exhibits and ditched all the scrap.

Seconded. Six cylinder, you are it's only hope!

The DESIRE is there, so it is only how much is it worth!

And remember there is a history of madness in the family!

How much is it worth to you ? These things don't seem to have any consistency price wise, there's one in Florida up for £125,000 but what looked ,in pictures anyway, a nice example recently sold in the UK from an advert for £35,000 ( after a£50,000 restoration).

I would have guessed at a nice one being £20k and that one going for £5k, but then I'm shocked that people pay £100k for e-types and cooking 911s these days.

A no reserve auction will cause mass hysteria and its odds on most of this ,let's face it, ebay fodder will at least double any sensible estimates.

As I'm poor and stupid I'll be steering well away from Leominster, for fear of ending up with a Metro Scout, 2200 Landcrab or Vauxhall Viceroy.

Check out the floor in the Deauville pic in set above

The Metro Scout was brill, though

BLOODY HELL, did I see a red FSO estate? I'm highly likely to attend if that's up for grabs!

I think there is a cream lada too, will be on my wish list!

I am planning to attend the museum tomorrow with my little boy. Anyone there tomorrow, feel free to say hello

FSO and Lada not in sale. Nor is Cherry or Applejack VP.

The Aston Lagonda is though, and will look peachy going round Essex Arena with a Pinto in

It was great to meet you chaps.

And Lord Sterling, I'm really glad you enjoyed your go in XOG and you are welcome to the mats. Glad they're going to a good fellow Roverist rather than the tip/rotting in the loft.

It really was a laugh and made me want to get along to more Autoshite events. The museum itself was the closest you'll ever get to an Autoshite Museum. As TooSavvy would probably put it look at cars..................? large KOLLECTSHUN  of sheds in middle of nowhere!!!!>!!! unobtanium??? BIG loss :( :( :( :( :( :^(

I'm very glad I went...And I got some KWALITY reading material/car porn in the shop. Mike Humble bought all the SAAB broshuuurs, literally.

Can't say I'm suprised it's going....Looks like a case of take it down before it falls down!

Thank's for the superb coverage of this, chaps. I'm ashamed that I've never been. Too late.

Would have loved to do something this weekend but it's wedding in T-Minus 4 Weeks and I have bannisters to sand down and repaint. Etc.

Also, I've heard rumours that lots of old car brochures might be being sold off cheap, and that would have caused me to be divorced before the ink is even dry on the registrar's book.

^^I bought three magazines, including 2 FORDSCENETAXYO!!!!! ones for £2.

My missus was ecstatic when I showed her my new Dodge Spacevan poster, sort of. Shes very tolerant of my shite buying ways, and various collections of tat. We had a lovely evening looking at all the brochures I bought yesterday, well I did. She wasn't as excited by the 1985 Vauxhall range brochure as I was anyway...
