Just a thought - while I can get a brekkie arranged at the hotel, I don't think there's a brekkie option on Saturday morning, unless the SVM Buffet Car is in operation?

So either 2 bring your own brekkies or SVM type brekkie Saturday am and hotel breakfast Sunday ...

I can bring some Lincolnshire produce, sausages (not square) and other stuff - local butcher is rather good.

Last time we brought enough local produce that we were still eating it on Sunday,  considering Saturday was the hottest day Wales has ever had I'm frankly amazed that we didn't all get food poisoning.

It will be. I'll make sure I've got plenty of gas this time too. I'll be bringing milk and tea bags for general consumption, bring your own mug. I'm thinking it would be nice to give the hotel the business for Sunday breakfast if they want it.

I can bring some Staffordshire oatcakes, if peeps want something other than bread in which to wrap their tasty Saturday morning comestibles.

Ok so for those of us late to the party, the intinereararary is as follows-yesh?

Fri 5th june-museum plus campery

Sat 6th june-wobble down to the dolly for hotel dining and campery

Sun 6th june-head home whils on ebay looking at all new cars you have to buy..

Pretty much, although the museum visit is likely to be Saturday morning I would have thought, as people will be arriving at different times throughout Friday evening. Takes any pressure off having to arrive by a particular time. My plan is to head over straight after work on the Friday, so should arrive early/mid-afternoon. Any time after that is fine!

I have a CB too, which might be useful on the Saturday drive down. No breakfast planned for Saturday, so best to bring food or visit a cafe in Llangollen.

Who else is having a dilemma over what shite to bring?

I was originally leaning on bringing the Jag, on the basis that the boss has insisted that the 525d is used for the family trip to France the week before this due to economy reasons. However, tonight I've had a breakthrough and I think the Jag will be used for the France trip, leaving a toss up between the 190E and E34 I think.

The E23 has plenty of action penned in for the summer so I'm not even considering that!

It's way too early to worry about that ...  my current plan involves whatever is legal and isn't broken

To be fair I've bought 5 cars since 1st January so my fleet will probably be all new by June!

do I need to confirm that I'm tenting? I think I can even get the F into my tent!

I'd be up for bringing rolls/meat/beer if someone will kindly cook it for me and others!

I'm aiming to get there before rush hour, is there a rush hour in Wales?

Absolutely gutted I'm going to miss this :( Still, you're not going to be short of attendees by the look of it!

Should I book the friday off work yet then? Is it at that stage of the proceedings yet?

Good idea, duly copied! Sat on gnomeotooles desk awaiting his arrival

More or less. If you want you can head down with us cool kids, plus Adrian in the diesel minicab thing.

Shall I get an orange beacon for SVM Assist duties?

Trecking down in a group last year was bloody good fun with walkie talkie action. Rendezvous at Happendon?

Last year's rendezvous was at Bothwell, was it not? Except someone went to the wrong services...

I've got an old Storno 2-way radio somewhere but I suspect it's fucked. The walkie talkies worked perfectly well for what we were doing.

I'm worried about my dinner on Friday night.

What/where/when is everyone eating?

Do I need to bring burgers/lobster thermadore/brace of pheasants/etc?

Is there a pub/takeaway within easy walking distance?

I don't want to have to drive anywhere once I'm settled/camped up.

I could not find a cheap hotel in Llangollen for Friday night that I could walk to from the campsite, so decided if I have to drive I may as well make it 7 miles and stay at the Travelodge at Wrexham for Ã‚£34.

And no if it blowing a gale and pissing with rain 12 people can't sleep on my floor!

That was Arley Hall where I met up with myself at the entirely fictitious Bellshill services.

As I am currently 9165 miles away and likely to be further away again by June, I'm going to have to say that I'm out. However should I somehow find my self anywhere in Europe around this time then I will turn up completely unexpectedly in what ever cheap pile of chod I can get my hands on at short notice.

I really wish I could go, the last 3 Shitefests have been amazingly fun.

We'll have to see closer to the time, but I don't see any reason why I can't make it!

Probably in the Maestro, as the fuel cost to get there in the Victor would be considerable!
