You did well to get out of there. Feral kids run around that new estate and the Co-Op is robbed on a weekly basis!

The real reason my Rolls Royce was out and about yesterday was the Classic Car  Breakfast meeting at Preston Bissett Nurseries this morning. A very successful meeting. @Slowsilver @quicksilverwere also there with their Maxi.

I know the 2cv bamboo owner. Gordon Casbeard. I’ve occasionally waved when on my way to or from the FOD.

Bits of it were originally a Trabant - but I'm not sure how much of the original car's actually left under there.  Rover V8 powered now as I understand it.

The gangsters with their Tommy (/splat) guns that arrived standing on the running boards were inside the shop when that photo was taken.

🎶They could've been anything that they wanted to be....

Trabant P60 van shell with Rover V8, 3-speed autobox, narrowed Volvo rear axle and Chevette front, built in Belgium about 20 years ago according to the info sheet.

Maybe there's an anti-CoOp sentiment in these parts. Winslow was raided twice in 2 weeks!

1600?

We made one of those in 1979 from a 1360 estate.

Yes 1600cc. I know the owner and the early conversion history hasn't been found. It is not one of the later Park Ward Service Dept converted cars, it pre dates that.

Should be a warranty claim from the seller of the car as it keeps happening!

After last weeks fail to fit new wipers to the Rolls Royce I have now drilled out the new clamping blocks. This was because the spindles are 1/4 inch and the new clamping blocks said fit 1/4 inch, but were only 6mm.

4 years!!

Do you remember where you left it?

I cable tied one in, but that eventually swapped the side repeater wiring.

At least they're cheap.

Warranty was as long as the sellers drive.

The case of the missing 2 pints!

Tonight was not without hitch, I went to a Triumph Club meeting tonight 20 miles away in the Carlton Estate.  The temp gauge read high, rising and falling on the way.

Checking the radiator, it was hot but not boiling. Before I came home we checked the water level and found it to be 2 pints of water short. On the way home the temp gauge was steady and read a little low as usual.

What happened to the missing 2 pints!
