Six-cylinder Posted September 3 Author Posted September 3 It is a record 37.5 mpg, well for me in our 2016 Range Rover TDV6. 200 miles to Southampton and back today without making any special effort and cruising at 70 mph whenever possible. The reason for the trip to Southampton was to collect a used set of 5 wheels and tyres for my Austin Mini. Exacton Austin-Rover accessory wheels fitted to some limited editions. They are fitted with Falken 165/70 10 tyres. I have posted a photo of what I believe is the date code, week 34 2022, anybody agree? IronStar, Dyslexic Viking, goosey and 5 others 7 1

Trying to remember which special editions got them - 25? 30? 35?

AxWomble Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Excellent looking wheels - and no worry about the age of the tyres either, as they appear to have been stored properly. I’ve just bought a pair of Continental Camper tyres for our motorhome, unused but date code 26-22 - £250 for the pair and £30 to our friendly tyre fitter is much more palatable than £200 fitted per corner.

Six-cylinder Posted September 7 Author Posted September 7 My Weekend in Cars. Friday errands car was the Ami 8 Break, just for normal stuff, in a not normal car. A dry weekend meant the Rolls Royce had 3 events to attend. Friday evening was Milton Keynes Classic Cars monthly meeting at the Star Brewery, I was the only prewar car present, but all cars welcome. A big variety of cars just as I like it. Saturday morning was MK Modern Classic breakfast meeting at Ridgemont. Again, I was the only prewar car. In spite of the word “modern” in the title all cars welcome and our group leader turned up in his 1970 Toyota Corona. Even if the Corona is on air suspension, it still looks 1970 and runs it’s standard 1500cc engine. At the other end one member turned up in his 2019 Mustang 5.0. Sunday morning was Milton Keynes Mini groups Breakfast meeting. As my Mini is not fit for the road because of the tyres I substituted the Rolls Royce, almost like for like, well British made anyway! Having collected replacement wheels and tyres successfully Wednesday I ordered the sleeved wheel nuts needed in the afternoon. I was thinking I should get them for the weekend and should be able to find somebody to help me fit them Saturday. All I got was a message to say they were out of the workshop and would process my order Monday! Stinkwheel, vtec-e, RobT and 7 others 10
