Six-cylinder Posted January 21, 2024 Author Posted January 21, 2024 Today was a failure then a success! . I needed to change the n-s headlight on the Range Rover, turns out you need to take the bumper off, to get the bumper off you need to remove the front sections of both wheel arch liners. That was too much getting under the car for me. . The Carlton Estate has turned over but not started even after several attempts on different days. Today IanBMW came over to see what was wrong, it started first time. The strange thing was before we even put the key in Ian said I am sure it will start fine! IanBMW is the Carlton Whisperer and I claim my £5. When you mentioned the Royale earlier I thought "he's only gone and bought a Bugatti" 😀 Mrs6C, Westbay and Six-cylinder 3
Mrs6C Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Among the three of them, @Andyrew, @Talbot and @ianbmw have done a fantastic job of keep that red Carlton estate alive. I look forward to it getting back on the road this year and turning attention to the blue saloon! 🙂 LightBulbFun, DSdriver and MrsJuular 3

I had such bad experience with selling and local Land Rover dealers I abandoned the idea of main dealer servicing it and paying for the extended warranty. No that was the driver doing Autoshite meeting in Scotland. I was embarrassed and got a lift so I didn't turn up in a young Range Rover, now it much more broken and autoshite. chaseracer 1
Six-cylinder Posted January 26, 2024 Author Posted January 26, 2024 Sunday is the annual Lancia Gamma consortium lunch and I am booked to go. It is nice to get as many Gamma's gathered together so today @Slowsilverhelped me get my Gamma out of storage. It started well enough on its own battery. We ran it up to temperature andstopped it to check the oil and water, after that it was difficult to start and ran poorly, misfiring. I drove it home from storage but it was not happy. I took the cap/rotor arm off but they looked good. At that point it was getting dark and Slowsilver wanted to go home for his tea so I am not sure if it is useable or not. Mrs6C Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 Obviously it's @Slowsilver who makes the difference here. He is the 'Car Whisperer', you know. Take him to the Gamma luncheon with you and the car will behave perfectly. chaseracer and LightBulbFun 1 1
