Six-cylinder Posted August 1, 2023 Author Posted August 1, 2023 I collected the Citroen LNA today and it stills looks like a piece of poo! Turns out my very vague steering was simply where all the wearing parts of the front suspension had been replaced its tracking was miles out and now it drives ok. Six-cylinder Posted August 2, 2023 Author Posted August 2, 2023 Wet and windy today and I had 70 miles in two trips to do. Driving the LNA home from the garage was great yesterday so it has been the car of choice today. It has been good to drive it except the last 1/2 mile of this mornings 20 mile drive it refused to idle. 2 hours later it started fine and idled again for the rest of the day. Zelandeth Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Ah, one of *those* faults! Hopefully just a bit of gunge in the carb from disuse and it will just get better with use once it's cleared its throat properly. Not sure I've ever even seen an LNA in the metal. LightBulbFun 1
HMC Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 love the little citroen, it looks very french withbits front bumper end cap missing

We have had it 7 years but it got taken off the road after its recommioning because there was something wrong with the steering, then covid came. It was definitely one I should have never bought, that's the engine in the back. Now after a ton of effort I am now enjoying it! Mrs6C, LightBulbFun, Saabnut and 4 others 7
Six-cylinder Posted August 3, 2023 Author Posted August 3, 2023 I have had a problem with the Rolls Royce since the time I collected it, I can't see what is behind me or beside me. It has a tiny rear window with wrap around C pillars to provide anonymity for my important passengers, wheel arches that stick out and no side mirrors. Most of that is fixed but I have managed to fit door mirrors using a clamp on type modified. I thought about wing mirrors but I am not keen on drilling holes in my front wings and my experience from the Toledo says you don't see much with them anyway. egg Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 That little LNA is probably in my top 3 most desired cars on the forum, it's up there with the bASe and Renault 14, it shouldn't exist, but it does. chaseracer 1

Six-cylinder Posted August 5, 2023 Author Posted August 5, 2023 Yesterday was a Milton Keynes Classic Car club gathering, small and local and under 15 miles away. The weather was dry so I took the Rolls Royce and it drove there perfectly with me starting to get to grips with the gearchanges. After just 3 miles on the way home it started to misfire and I was very concerned if I was going to get home when it got very bad uphill. It misfired, popped and banged when I lifted the throttle and I adjusted the mixture and timing from the steering wheel but it made no difference. 2 miles from home and it was running perfectly again! It was still a good evening with 32 cars of all different types out last night. CGSB, richardmorris, Coprolalia and 6 others 9
hairnet Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 yplac? or just cos you have a phat car i think the idle mixture thing might take some getting used to
Six-cylinder Posted August 5, 2023 Author Posted August 5, 2023 Today was another Care Home display with Milton Keynes Classic Car Club . The problem was it was pouring with rain this morning and I did not fancy taking the Rolls Royce. I ended up taking the Cadillac which was a joy to drive. Six of us turned out but only one resident decided to come outside to see us. The one lady who did was 97 and started a conversation about vintage Rolls Royces without me saying anything as she has memories' of a family member having one in the late 1930s. It was decided we will visit again and hope for better weather. It feels very good doing these displays to entertain the residences along with the staff and getting to play with our classic cars.
