Six-cylinder Posted December 26, 2018 Author Posted December 26, 2018 Having said to HMC it was my turn to test the reliability of a TD6 Range Rover things did not go well. To start with it needed a jump start. Fridge safely delivered to Wales Then on the way home the dreaded warning message came up. It still runs and is not sat down but its next run in the new year will to be a garage. Mrs6C and HMC 2
Mrs6C Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 ^^^ Air suspension inactive - TADTS when the battery has been lacking sufficient volts... reset it by (when stationary and on suitable surface) turning the steering wheel full lock to the left and holding for a few seconds, then turning it to the right on full lock and holding for a few seconds, then go back to centre, switch off and back on again. Mrs6C Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 Should have added that wheels should be in straight ahead position before you switch on and start the above reset procedure... I remember that position arm. Wasn't it about the size of a small kebab skewer and composed mostly of rust?

beko1987 Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Sounds like the xeon levelling arm on my first laguna. I cable tied it on in the end and it just popped a ball joint off somewhere else so I left it in the end!

SiC Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 You would never run out of cars to fix for sure! Yesterday I found myself drafting a PM to own the Allegro VP and had to have strong words with myself. Mrs6C is not helping by chipping in that she had found a place who will recon the gearbox for £400! If you do happen to buy it and then later get buyers remorse, I'll happily buy it back off you in a few more months. My intention was to fix it up and then give it to my Father-in-Law as a present (he loves them). However with the 1100 on the drive, there is no way I can buy it as I won't have anywhere to store it. I'm resisting getting additional storage, otherwise I would end up with having far too many cars... Which this thread is a great example of what would happen to me if I had a spare field (I know this post won't be helping those matters either ) Mrs6C 1

Six-cylinder Posted December 29, 2018 Author Posted December 29, 2018 Tow car broken now, then it needs an MOT so won't be available for weeks.
