Essex V6 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Passing through a local village this morning, I spotted a Daewoo Espero in a garden. Further along the road, there was a stunning early Z28 Camaro in an eye popping green metallic. Obviously, my first thoughts were "wish I had my camera to get a picture of that Daewoo" - this is not the behaviour of a rational human being. I lay the blame solely on Autoshite! brownnova and AlabamaShrimp 2
skattrd Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Did you just post this to boast you had seen an Espero in the wild? Now go back and take a picture of it tooSavvy, Junkman and AlabamaShrimp 3
fordperv Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 You cannot simply lay the blame on a website for like minded individuals, Autoshite is like a therapy session where everyone sits around and vents theirAgitation at modern life, love for simpler times and love cars that are unloved. As with the thing of rational human being, you have to ask yourself if being normal is being a sheep worshiping aldi white goods type cars which are owned on pcp or financed to the eyeballs, I would rather be branded the weirdo and drive a car that costs less than the overall amount of money they lose on their soul less boxes when they drive them off the forecourt. hauserplenty, Bamboocarman, Essex V6 and 5 others 8
STUNO Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Strange that, I was looking at Daewoo Esperos for sale today. One even spoke to me...buy me...buy me..This actual one...no...no...no. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/daewoo/auction-813658998.htm

Jim Bell Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I often say Autoshiteisms at work. "Can we not just hammer a slightly larger disabled person over her?" Etc. Asimo, rml2345, myglaren and 6 others 9
Twiggy Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Not at all........ Autoshite addiction is a sign of normality. AlabamaShrimp 1
Rusty Pelican Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Someone I know bought a brand new Mini but not in the colour they really wanted then takes the car on its first trip out to Bournemouth where they see the colour they actually want and asks if this can be taken to Yeovil so they can test drive it .A week later they go to the dealer and agree to have the car in the colour they wanted and get offered 2 grand less than they paid for theirs the week before and with only 200 miles on the clock. That is NOT normal or rational.Autoshite is . purplebargeken Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Seems perfectly normal to me and I am professionally qualified to say this. No, seriously. I am. I saw TWO Sierra P100's today by the way. They wuz kool. Twiggy and Jim Bell 2
forddeliveryboy Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 No, it is a therapy for sensible folk trying to cope with a mad world. Exactly. Few mention that over-exposure to the inside of newish modern cars is not exactly a good thing - all those endocrine disrupters, VOCs and other cancer-making stuff which comes off new plastics and other synthetic compounds.
Jim Bell Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Volvo Owners Club causes cancer?Blimey. Ghosty, Uncle Jimmy, forddeliveryboy and 2 others 5
Richard Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Volvo Owners Club causes cancer?Blimey. The VOC forum always reminds me of the Daily Mail, so you could be right.
forddeliveryboy Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Eh er wot?? You're not meant to know - best not to sometimes. Volvo did some research, then banned quite a few chemicals from the ingredients list of its interior plastics.
PiperCub Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 We are fine - it's everyone else that's the problem, they're mainly wierdos. hauserplenty and myglaren 2
DVee8 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 No this place is normal.A mate of mine only drives financed new Hyundai's his 63plate was coming up for it's 1st service. The dealer rang him last Wednesday, offered him a 64plate for an extra £10.00 a month. The way he see's it is he had a service due that was going to cost £100 so a new car will cost him an extra £20.00. He doesn't see the extra year on his finance. So last Friday two days after the phone call from the dealer he put in his 63 plate white I20 for a 64 plate white I20. He has just ran the car in for some one else. Next year when the dealer gets quiet around christmas they are guaranteed a sale for there numbers from my mate

castros_bro Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 You either take an interest in things or not, far sadder wasting life TV watching then trying to get £120 ZX D to run on mazola - in the dark - outside. hauserplenty Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows... AUTOSHITE. Your deprecation (sic) is our concern... Quite a bit of automotive history here. When They finally do away with driving altogether, this could end up being a place for geezers to wheeze about the good old days of hydraulic power steering, and knowing how to park. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eULGEKncHvI DVee8 1
Rusty Pelican Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Wasnt Red Barchetta from the album Moving pictures along with the track Tom Sawyer ?

Surely a vinyl wrap in the preferred colour would have been cheaper.
Richard Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Or another radical idea- as it was a new car, how about ordering it in the right colour in the first place? Bobthebeard and Craig the Princess 2
Junkman Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 So, you expect me to be normal? In a world, where doctors destroy your health, lawyers destroy justice, psychiatrists destroy minds, scientists destroy truth, major media destroys information, religions destroy spirituality and governments destroy freedom? In a world, where children are taught obedience is character, being able to repeat stuff accurately is intellect, and not giving a fuck about this horseshit is attention deficit disorder? In a world, where anything that makes us forget who we are and what we want, is called normal? In a world, that believes that power is more important than money and that money is more important than happiness? In a world, that is making fun of anyone who seeks happiness rather than money and accuses him of “lacking ambition In a world, that blieves, that a man with more money is the better man? In a world following fashion trends, however ridiculous or uncomfortable? In a world, where going to a charity tea party means one's done one's bit toward putting an end to social inequity? In a world, where nobody objects against wars based on lies, a world, that doesn't hold the warmongers resonsible? In a world, where when you are trying to be a good, decent, respectable person, you will be seen as weak, vulnerable, and easy to manipulate? In a world, where people watch telly? In a world governed by the most fascist and corrupt regimes in the history of humankind? You expect me to be normal? You gotta be a fucking lunatic. fordperv, mercrocker, SambaS and 8 others 11
Parky Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Not quite as concise or as applause worthy as Junkmans piece, but I do frequently sign off work emails with WCPGW? mercrocker Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 This place just rationalises how I have lived and thought for most of my life....The fact that the world has seemingly got suddenly worse in recent years just means I spend a lot more time here now. Bamboocarman and Bobthebeard 2
Taff Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Me? Brain damaged?
