924. I've nursed a semi over owning a van powered porker for nearly eight years. I'm after a plaything in the new year but in my heart of hearts I know I'll end up with a crusty barge of some sort instead.

1st generation Volvo S60.  Missed out on a 51-plate 2.0T with 12 months ticket for £495 a couple of weeks back because I dithered.  A decision will be made at Mazda MOT time in August.

Still fancy a VdP Montego. I think they are for sale next to the buckets of unicorn shit and chicken dentures!

Reliant Scimitar. Need to get one whilst they are cheap. They are going to suddenly get pricey.

Manual Merc 190e in brown for me, or a 405 mi6 as has been said above but you never see them here now.

The only car I'd let the 924 go for is a really good mg maestro.

Hyundai Stellar, a minty fresh, red, pre-facelift Mk3 Cavalier 2.0CDi saloon, FSO Polonez, Skoda Estelle...

I'd like a VW Corrado in G60 or VR6 flavour for a bit. In reality I'll end up with a 1.8 N\A and the lads on Retro Cars will TTP.

TTP - take the piss?

Dugong in VAG shocker.

Personally I'd go for the g60 as the vr6 is heavy and we all know superchargers are cool.

Still eyeing up a manta but prices starting to get a bit silly

They are over rated anyway, I'd rather the cart sprung competitor but saying that prices are almost as bad

Not selling it yet as I want to get it on the road first. Slightly modified with a renault 12ts engine and needs bodywork.

No explanation necessary

One of these in TDi form (with better wheels!) would be interesting to run alongside my Insight: aluminium body, three cylinders. So far these seem to have escaped the VAG scene nonsense.

edit I would also like something prewar, not been there yet. That Renault truck in the tat thread a few days back for example. That would do.

Not really sure to be honest.

I guess an estate of some kind at some point.

I would love a Simca 1000 as Mum had one and she adored it until my dad killed it whilst driving pissed.Finding one would be a miracle, as would finding funds for it.

Have done most of the cars that I want.

Yeah, a Simca 1000 or an estate. An interesting one, not too big but usable.
