Its superb, well worth trying the 4 local beers they have in casks and decant into plastic milk bottles, but their selection of bottled beers and ciders is pretty impressive too. The guy who runs the shop (Al, I think) is a really decent chap, as is Martin, who does the brewing on his farm just up the road.

 

Apparently the White Horse pub next door does all the local beers on tap and does decent food too.

 

I had a blez up there on sunday to burn off the engine oil I had slopped all over the cylinder head of the Almera due to being a fat handed twat. The Brewhouse has got a small but interesting museum upstairs too that is worth a look for 20 minutes or so.

Right, since we're in a new year we ought to get this sorted out and make the inaugural Solent Shiters meeting one to remember.

 

So, It sounds like we have a potential assembly point and a thing to do should standing around on a windy hilltop prove insufficiently interesting.

 

So, next we need a date for this to commence. The brewhouse is open on Saturdays til 5pm and sundays til 4pm, though as the evenings draw in early its probably irrelevant. other amusements are available within various distances and can be incorporated should people want them.

 

I vote for a weekend for this to take place, end of the month (31st Jan/1st Feb)? later? earlier?

I suggest we meet at the 'main' carpark where Mick's burgers is, as far as I'm aware this is the biggest of the carparks, but does get busy sometimes, we can always decamp to another one if its all a bit hectic, and we have to fight the girls* off with sticks.

 

Not heard from Partridge so I'll take the reins with this one until he re-appears!
